Quick question; can I answer with Hanukkah instead of Christmas?

What is your favorite Hanukkah memory? I've celebrated Hanukkah for as long as I can remember (that is, since kindergarten) and I have many favorite memories from each year. But I think that the memory that tops 'em all would have to be the Hanukkah of 2014, when it fell on Thanksgiving. That year, my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, and their kits were all brought together for two holidays that celebrated something similar: being grateful. Being grateful for family. Home. Presents. Light. Laughter. All of these things and more. The photos, too, are very memorable. If I think back, I can still see the playground where we took the photos, how it looked in the dusk light, and how loud it was. I can still feel my family pressed around me as we're taking a group photograph. I can still remember how it felt to brush my hair away as it swayed in the wind as I hold my younger sibling tight. But most of all, I can remember the miracle of celebrating two holidays that are at once so different and so similar.

what is your favorite christmas memory? every year, i used to make christmas cards and reindeer food for santa and the reindeer. at school, we were often given free time or christmas activities and such to do, and during that time, i would spend most of the class making as many christmas cards as i could, for santa to find when i thought he would come to our house that night. it was always a source of joy for my younger self to get replies written inside the letter, responding to my scribbly chicken scratch words inside the cards, and saying how the reindeer enjoyed the "reindeer food" i had left for them in the yard the previous night. the reindeer food was actually just oatmeal and sprinkle glitter you can get at the craft store, but younger me thought it was actually magic, and i even wore my pajamas inside out one night in hopes it would snow, and then the reindeer would see the reindeer food i left for them and then i'd stay up all night to see them.

What are your simas most excited about doing this year for the holidays?
Heylel and his family spend Christmas Eve watching The Christmas Carol by the fire. The youngest kids often fall asleep before its over, but it's lots of fun for the family.
Beatrice enjoys baking Christmas cookies to send to her family and friends, and of course to set out for Santa.
This is Vokun's first Christmas with his mate and their adopted son, so he's looking forward to starting their own traditions, including going caroling around the neighborhood.

What is something you look forward to in years to come?: I actually plan on seeing my girlfriend for the first time, other friends, and my family members I have never met since they're all over the world! I also look forward to having more of my family members here with me or me with them so that I could socialize more with them. I also plan to improve my art skills and fix my social anxiety!

What is something you look forward to in years to come? (a new tradition, seeing certain people, ect;;) Ah, yes. Our current tradition is to make yearly ornaments, usually having to deal with what we did that year. I always look forward to deciding what to do for them. All these creative ideas for ornaments are so cool. Each and every year they're made with love!
Hi! I'm Medd! They/them please.
