What are Khimaira Kiruan?
Khimaira Kiruans 2.0 are a mutation from the original Kiruans. They come with their own coloration and genetics and have the ability to produce different species over time. It happened that i found a foal in a small little cavern with strange crystal stones. At first i thought it was a Kiruan foal, but when it aged it showed different colorations then all the other horses. I let it roam free under the Kiruans and it mated with them and other wild friesians, producing foals and other new equine species with markings i have never seen till now. I'm curious what they will show off in the future.
Kiruans have a different herd structure as other horses they are monogamous and only have one mate for their whole life, they will only mate to their lifetime mate unless foals get produced through stem-cell breeding. Stallions and Mares show a whole different behavior too, they aren't aggressiv in any way to other horses and Kiruans and they tend to life in herds between 4-6 animals, consisting of equal males and females with their foals. Foals stay in their parents herd untill they are 3 years old, then they tend to leave the herd to find a lifetime mate and a new place to stay.
Kiruans are very friendly to humans too and allow them to ride them, but they aren't like normal horses and even if some seem to enjoy jumping or dressage they rarely do it. Kiruans aren't allowed at normal competitions and often they don't enjoy "working" and believe me, if a Kiruan doesn't want to do something they will not do it. Unless horses that bow to their fate Kiruans begin to fight in an enviorment they don't like or that overstrains them. They love to roam free and wild through big territories and can only be kept in big meadows with natural shelters from rain, snow and wind.
A territory of wild Kiruans can contain up to 30-50 herds living in coexistence with each other, as long as there is enough food for them.
How can we get one?
Current Event: Can turn into a permanent adoption idea
Instead of putting up finished adoptables to adopt from, I started doing an event where you can try to win your favorite adoptable.
Those will be done throught adoption permission, an adoption permission is always a horse under a black layer.
The permission themselfs have a few rules:
- they come with a rarity lock (like a common horse)
- they come with a gender lock (so that i don't take out to many horses of one gender)
- and you can only choose base coat and markings based on the rarity
You won't be the only one entering for the permission so the winner will be choosen with an rng (like in the past), but there will be more then one adoption permission put out
When the winner gets the permission I will move out with my equipment and try to find the horse you like. But i can't guarantee that i will get exactly the one you wish for.
your chances will be:
0-30 : same base coat, different markings
31-50 : same base coat, one marking fits
51-80 : same base coat, 2 markings fits
81-100: everything will fit
They are a rare breed so there won't be many horses out. But i try to discover more and more for you to adopt ^^
From now on there will be some different kind of easy contests, but they will not be judged by rng anymore:
- Naming contest | Choose a fitting name for the horse depending on the coat and character you seem fitting
- Picture contest | Choose a unique picture with high resolution
- Personality contest | Decide for a fitting personality depending on the coat
- Favorite .... contest | Decide for a favorite ... that horse could have and show a picture of it in high resolution
If you have problems with choosing names for so many horses or you want a bigger chance in winning a horse i made a little guide
little guide:
- Use pseudo names for the form, unless it's a naming contest, so you can change the name to a real one afterwards (you only need to send me a short message and i will rename the horse to the name you would wish for)
- Use a naming list, you can make a list with horse names you like and always use the one you think fits to the adopt until you won one
- because the contest is easy many people tend to try for a horse, so if you see that a horse has too many people trying out with good answers, wait for the next one, after some time there will be lesser people entering because many already have horses and only want to adopt the ones they really like
- there will be FCFS ones in the future, try your luck with those
- i will make comps were you can only enter if you don't own a Kiruan so far or were only a few people can enter in overall
- try to get your hands on a breeding slot and breed the horses, that will guarantee you a Kiruan, if i see that people are to protectiv over their slots i will raise the slots to 5 instead of 3
- For the different contests always try to fit the personality, name, favorite ... to the horse you see, it will raise your chances when i think it fits well (sometimes you can play around and call a white horse shadow or something like that)
- if you want to have a higher chance for winning a picture contest, choose a high resolution picture with a unique/atmospheric pose or look to it
Subspecies
Are you the only Artist?
yes, i'm the only artist that will do the Kiruans. Every Kiruan is part of my herd unless i donate it for adoption and because of that i'm the only one that is going to breed them and that's the reason why i'm the only artist doing these sweethearts. In the same time they will be a rare Friesian breed, because there wont be many to adopt from.
Can we get Kiruans with Customs and Breedings?
