"Fire, the thing that melts ice"Adena, a name meaning fire, had been trying to escape her parents. The icy relationship between them made Adena feel fragile, afraid of when the ice was going to break. Then, a helicopter appeared on base, delivering supplies which was when Adena jumped on board and never turned back. Through her contacts, Adena later learned that her parents had repaired their relationship.
"Fire, the thing that destroys"Adena leads a life of mild mischief. In the day, she works a monotonous office job. At night, she lights fires in the yards of corrupt politicians. Those arsons are never enough to harm but they send a piercing message. Sometimes, the corruption doesn't stop and that is when Adena destroys the house, but again never harming anyone else. That second warning is always scary enough and so Adena keeps her ashy conscience blood free.
"Fire, the thing that warms"Her motive behind such reckless arsons is the suffering of those less fortunate. Adena volunteers regularly at homeless shelters, helping young kits catch up with homework. She takes on 3 or 4 at a time and bus them all over town, showing them a world that would otherwise be out of reach. Sometimes, Adena knits scarves to donate and other times, she buys hand warmers to distribute. The winter season never seems to be too long with her there.
"Fire, the thing that is a beacon"Adena shines brightly in her community and many parents tell their kits to look up to her. She isn't sure if she's doing the right things but evidently, Adena feels that if a fire burns long enough no matter how destructive it is, those lost will find their way using the light emitted from the flames.
