generally - neutral bases with bright accents or really bright colours that can even clash. really saturated colours are the way to go if you pick the latter, but muted colours are if you go for something along the lines of the former. please no pastels though, i really don't enjoy pastels.
more specifically - i really love clashes in warm colours. clashes between softer reds, oranges and yellows, i also love lime green (roughly #BFF40E) and raspberry red (roughly #F40E5B) - both together and separately. also i appreciate pretty much all blues, most colours between green and blue as well as a lot of saturated purples.

-a really nice/innocent looking character with some sort of monster feature? super long arms//claws//fangs//slit eyes?? of course I'm open to other ideas aha
-pale de-saturated blues look super duper nice with light browns! it only looks nice if executed properly though,,, so this might be a lil iffy

-missing limbs, especially in feral animals
-characters with a theme (ex. bird witch, flower field, river druid, succulent garden, coffee shop, etc etc) human or feral!
-hairbands on human chars with long hair
-complex outfits for human characters
-androgynous/slightly feminine clothing for human chars
-characters with creepy/monster features!! especially human chars~
-ironic characters who are the opposite of who'd you expect them to be,, human or feral!
-horns (2 or more! no unicorn horns please aha,,,, one of the horns being broken is alright) human or feral!
-mainly de-saturated colours with bright eyes for feral characters!
-variations in body type/skin tone! human characters that aren't just white, skinny, have flawless skin, etc.etc

-too many contrasting colours--a few, if placed strategically, however, I'm not opposed to!
-hot/fully saturated pinks--de-saturated and dull pinks are alright!
-too much red--a little in the eyes, accessories, clothing (if human) are alright, though!
-a ton of colours that stand out--one or two colours that stand out against the rest is good!
-super edgy looking chars--not one I'm looking for at the moment!
-a wolf character with a white base colour--white markings on top of other colours are alright, though preferably kept to a minimum~

Other information:
-if a human character has dyed hair or unnatural coloured hair, I'd rather it not be dyed in streaks! I have too many of those,,, whoops,,, full or half dyed is better~
-I have no preference between being gifted a design or art of an existing character~
