kalon name: maxmillian "max" ayton
kalon gender: male └──────────────────┘favorite food memory:
"this is maxmillian ayton, calling in from ship sputnick-34, do you copy?" maxmillion muttered, his hands swerving
around his wheel to steer the ship away from floating asteroids. "affirmative. successfully entered the milky-way
galaxy. what is your status? over." maxmillian pushed and pulled at buttons and levers to operate the space-ship,
"approaching the planet jupiter, should reach earth in 12 ashurvian hours, over." he replied. "going dark for now, at
station 13 if you need anything. over and out." with a click of the radio, silence loomed over the kalon, the stars
twinkling in rhythm around him as his ship slowed into a relaxed pace. sighing, max pulled out his walkman, and
turned up the music to "eye of the tiger" by survivor. according to retired galaxy-walkers, max's grandfather had
rebelled against the system and took off unannounced to earth, and had never come back. ever since maximillian
had heard that story, he had searched far and wide to find something from earth. low and behold, he had found
his grandfather's old suitcase, encasing a walkman and an assortment of mixtapes. letting his body melt into the
music, he became drowsy. succumbing to the sleep, max resorted to taking a stroll in his dreams.

"maxmillian, do you copy?!" a muffled voice anxiously shouted through the speakers. the jaded kalon lying in the
chair woke with a start, immediately pressing buttons and getting the ship back on track. "i copy. what is my status?"
he asked, pulling his headphones out and sitting up straight. "maxmillian, you have company coming up at 9 o' clock.
swerve left, an asteroid is coming your way! over." his palms growing sweaty, his grip tightened against the wheel as
he attempted to turn. horrified to find the wheel stuck in place, he shouted into the transmitter. "the wheel is stuck!"
the sounds becoming static, he felt panic rise up in his chest. "max- llian- push- emerg- button!" he felt frantic as
he pushed the button once more. "i'm not recieving feedback! calling station 24-" it wasn't long before he finished his
sentence that he felt something slam into the side of his ship, sending equipment tumbling across the ship's floor.
an alarm sounded, blaring loudly over the crunching of metal against giant rock. "ahhh!" he shouted and ducked to
avoid a falling unit from the ceiling. a voice came on over the screeching alarm. "main engine failed. crash landing
occurring. emergency evacuate immediat-" in a frenzy, the kalon scrambled towards the exit doors, only to find the
door to the emergency space-suit jammed. "no, no.. no!" he cried, feeling the ship gather speed. running to the
main window, he slammed his hands against the glass and peered outside. the outline of "earth" was visible. with his
ship gaining speed, he crossed himself and prayed to the gods of ashurvia before crawling under a desk, bracing
himself for impact.
boom.
max felt his body thrown around as the ship collided with the ground, tumbling and crushing parts and destroying
the ship altogether. his eyes shut tight, a ringing developed in his ears as he felt the world around him go still for
a few moments. his breathing heavy and his body aching, he opened them to a heavy sight. equipment and radios
turned over, machines destroyed, papers strewn and burnt to a crisp. but there was his walkman, in the corner,
unharmed. his eyes watering from the smoke and its scent, he scooped up the walkman and looked for a way out.
finding a giant hole in the ship, he climbed out and collapsed onto the ground. coughing, he rubbed his red eyes
and tried to figure out where he was. as the smoke cleared, maxmillian was able to recognize a town, though it
lacked the hustle and bustle that max had read about in books. his ears swivelled as he searched for noise, though
it only came from the machines buzzing in defeat behind him. managing to get to his paws, he took a few steps
before coming across a building, though it was extremely different than what his home in ashurvia tooked like.
this place was built of stone, the same thing their celestial statues were made of. glass gave a view to what was
inside. bare tables, counters, and chairs were neatly placed, though nobody was inside. with a confused tilt of
his head, he gripped the handle of the door and swung it open, limping inside. "hello?" he croaked, though he
recieved no answer. a bright red, shimmery object caught his eye, and he turned to find a flat, small package
bearing the word "chocolate". he had read about the sugary sweet in journals, but never had he seen it in person.
it had always been described as "a sweet to overpower the gods". tearing open the package, he sniffed the
brown sweet. without a second thought he bit into it.
now maybe i can understand why my grandfather left for this planet so many years ago.

And that, most certainly, was not the last of the memories he had on Earth.
