Story:
The real story: The trumpets sound and the faint rumbling of cries and stomping can be heard. Metal clinks and the warriors shriek as the drum beats. There stands Artemisia, a powerful warrior and the queen of the Anatolian region in Lydia. Her horse reared as she zoomed past her comrades and into the battle. The feminine commander wielded her sword and drew it down on the enemies that dared to try and enter her home. The battle was a victory, and Artemisia went on to endure more victories. But, there was one battle that she could not conquer. The love of her life, Dardanus, did not love her as much as she loved him. Artemisia felt as if she could not move on and she decided to jump into the ocean.

Today: The great mare cantered heavily around the pasture surrounded by a pearly white fencing. Her mane and tail flowed smoothly behind her as she rounded the turn and held her head up high. Her movements were as graceful as a flag in the soft winds. The Grullo coat glistened in the sun as she made her way to the opening of her stall. "A beautiful horse indeed! She definitely holds the image of the real Artemisia" Says the man who lived next door. This man was a descendent of the honorable Artemisia. The owner whistled and out came the glorious mare to the two humans. She snorted as she came to the fence and the owner rubbed Misisa's head. "She definitely fits he name well!" She said happily

This story shows how this mare resembles the great warrior and queen, Artemisia. She is beauty and she is grace!

Oh my gosh I feel so daft I hadn't meant to leave the story bit on there XD I'll keep it up and add that I'd like people to share why they chose the name. I'm highly impressed with JSS and Fiern's entries I must add.
