Halloween story; EEEEK! Yesss, I was in charge of this year’s Halloween theme and boy I knew exactly what to do. A haunted maze was definitely on my highest priority. This year’s Halloween was gonna be AMAZE. (No pun intended), please you might be thinking seriously a maze ugh... so lame but no way will I let it be some dumb maze and no pizzazz! Where I live Halloween is always a huge event like Christmas. Everyone always pitches in to make it great but I was determined to make it one of the best. Plus there’s nothing better then getting some candy to fill my sweet tooth. So here was the plan: We had started since the beginning of the year to grow the corn in the shape of a ghost theme, we had some experts in this help out. Then later on, we set out down the base. We would give it a spooky theme and had a group helping out to decorate. Then we set up a few spookified tents with hints in case people got super frustrated cause after all the point is to have fun! So everyone would come dressed up with there trick or treating baskets! Along the path people had volunteered to add some scary effects and scare some of the trick or treaters there. We had some in costume that would pass out candy along the way! At the end of the maze we led it to a neighborhood that you could trick or treat there! At the end of the neighborhood they always have a haunted house for people to go if they weren’t already tired out. So this was are game plan and it was coming along perfectly. We had some hidden in the corn to scare people and plenty candy passers. Now I was allowed to participate as well which I was excited to do with my friends, plus I probably would get lost in the maze I planned myself. Let’s hope that won’t happen! Any-who I planned to go as a witch. I had a cute little black and purple dress. With a the hat of course. I loved that hat cause it had a lace with little clack pumpkins sitting on that could light up. Squeeeeeee! I was excited! It would be the best Halloween ever!

Year after year Alissa dresses up as a witch, and though costumes are her favorite part of halloween it's not her costume she cares about. It's the kid's costumes. The toddling pumpkins and waddling cats, and teenaged ghost stories and fifth grade frankensteins. She loves to see the creativity of kids, especially when something to glorious as a Dory the Explorer comes up. A blue tang with orange shorts, who'd have thought?

But aside from trick-or-treat costumes, and the glorious 70% off candy the week after, she loves pulling an all nighter watching horror movies with friends. They start with a true pee-your-pants masterpiece, and work their way down to shoddy special effects and oh so obviously low budgets. Because, after all, THIS. IS. HALLOWEEN.

Pepon peeked over her shoulder as she hastily unlocked her front door. Once she
confirmed no one had seen her, she picked her grocery bags off the ground
and hurried inside, locking the door immediately.

Spoopy Scary Skeletons
Placing her bags down once again Pepon dashed over her closed blinds and peeked out them, just to be 100% sure she had not been followed. After surveying her street she smiled and allowed the blinds to close again, patting the coarse material. Satisfied Pepon trotted over to her bags and hoisted them from the ground before carrying them to her kitchen. Dropping the bags onto the wooden table Pepon began to remove their contents, mint, sugar, basil, ginger, bay leaves, a bottle rosewater, pumpkin seeds, candles, and a bag of... cat fur. Pepon laid out her stash and smiled at it all with glee. This would be the year. From under her table Pepon pulled out a large black cauldron, engraved with swirls and cat silhouettes.

Pepon plopped the cauldron onto her stove, flicking it on before filling it with the
rosewater. She giggled joyfully whilst throwing all her other ingredients into the
cauldron. Stirring the mixture she hummed a bubbly tune; weird pink steam drifted
out of the pot as she stirred. Placing her stirring stick to the side Pepon squealed
before trotting away towards another room.

She paused in front of a large wardrobe and threw the doors open in a majestic manner. Inside was a small room filled to the brim with cat memorabilia. Every inch of the walls were covered with cat pictures, cat statues and cat-nip scented candles covered the table in the center of the room. Around the floor numerous cat plushies lay scattered about. Pepon sighed and lifted a plushy from the ground, hugging it. Closing her eyes she thought back to all the tortures she had experienced. Pepon, ever since birth had been in love with cats, she was hypnotised by their beauty but... cats hated Pepon. It didn't matter what kind of cat, every cat hated Pepon with a passion. But Pepon would never allow that to stop her.

When she was 5 she discovered witch craft and through an awkward conversation
with a lady in a witchery shop, discovered that she could use the art to make cats
love her. Ever since then Pepon worked non-stop to try and perfect her spell,
she could only cast it on Halloween night which gave her more than enough
preparation time. After years and years of trial and error this time she knew she

had to have it right. Placing the plushy back down she stroked it for a moment before closing the wardrobe and heading back to the kitchen. As she got closer Pepon could smell an odd scent. She paused sniffing the air, what on earth could it be? Burning... Pumpkins? Pepon gasped knowingly, and ran to the kitchen, her cauldron boiling over, smoke filling the room. Screeching she sprinted over grabbing the pot. She screamed as she came into contact with the burning metal, dropping the pot. The orange liquid inside splashed all over her and Pepon screamed again, prepared to be burnt. Pepon's screams stopped quickly as she realised, the liquid wasn't burning her. She gave herself a once over, she looked normal. She gave herself a sniff, and strangely smelt pumpkins. Pepon groaned annoyed she hadn't paid attention and frustrated that she'd made the wrong spell. Sighing Pepon grabbed her bags and headed to the door, pumpkin scented or not she would finish the potion and on Halloween night finally cats would love her.

Halloween story;
Janet gasped, her eyes snapping open. The sudden rush of air through her body made the world around her spin, similar to being on a carousel going at an unnaturally high speed. Lights whipped around her, a pain residing behind her eyes growing and growing, feeding off the din in her head.
She squeezed her eyes back close, gritting her teeth. She didn't know what were her thoughts and what was not. Noises barraged her, crying and laughter and angry shouts all mixing and swirling within her mind. As the intensity of the chaos grew, she took another deep breath, pressing a paw against her forehead. Quickly, the tumult quieted down until it was just dull buzzing behind her.
Janet reopened her eyes slowly, careful not to flare up another pounding headache. She was surrounded by houses, a few decorated with orange lights and strangely enough, methodically cut pumpkins. Some even had giant fake spiders and the occasional dummy with a tattered black or white cloth thrown over it. She furrowed her brows. Where was she?
As she looked around more closely, she could see that she was in the middle of a road with sidewalks both to her right and left. There was a group of kids talking, and she realized this was her chance to ask about her whereabouts. But as she stood up, she thought of a strange, unfamiliar words. Janet. Halloween. Spirit.
"Janet.." She whispered, taking a step away from the group of children. It was hard to explain, but she just knew. That she was Janet. She was the Halloween spirit. It was like waking up and knowing who you were. Except she was just a little late. She rubbed her eyes, her ears folding backwards.
Memories poured back in, giving her a better sense of what she was exactly. Janet, spirit of Halloween. She is responsible for keeping enthusiasm for Halloween alive, and making sure that everyone has at least a bit of excitement for the holiday. She wakes up every time Halloween nears, prepping the world of kalons for the spooky and fun day. As halloween ends, she falls back into her long slumber. Waking back up to extreme pain and short-loved amnesia was normal; sleeping for 358 days but then suddenly needing to get back up was no simple task. But such is the life of a spirit.
"Ahh.. I've been asleep for too long." She sighed. The strange items placed on houses were decorations were those for the sake of Halloween. Janet placed her paws back down to the ground, pleased to see the sheer amount of the festivity displayed. Lifting her head, she focused on reaching her long rested power. But despite her efforts, the usual tingling feeling she got whenever she used magic didn't happen. Well, she though with frustration. This might take a bit.
Shaking off her annoyance, she stomped towards the group of children.

Pumpkin got in her Halloween costume, a big pumpkin with purple and yellow pumpkin and flower stickers. Her round ears wiggling when she heard the door open. She had snacks and stuff out on the table. Pumpkin got up and went to greet the kalons that entered her door, wiggling her tail excitedly. This I'll be her first Halloween party and most probably not her last. It was fun preparing for it but also a bit space consuming. Where she would put the decorations and leftover food is beyond her. She smiled and saw as more kalons arrived.

Pumpkin sat down on her couch, looking around at everyone. She didn't expect everyone to come to her party, but they did. She didn't complain, she just was nervous. One of her friends walked over to her and pulled Pumpkin away from everyone. "Let's do something fun instead of lounging around. You look so bored!" they laughed and looked at her.
