Story: (Max 500 words)
"I ran down the street, my poof of hair bouncing up and down in front of my nose. I was late for the party I had been invited to three days ago, which I had been looking forward to all day. Clutched in my jaws were a bag of chips, which I clenched so hard it made my teeth hurt. After about four minutes of on-and-off running and walking, I'd finally arrived at the party. It was in the middle of the forest and at sunset, the sun was shadows of the trees, a flashing orb in my eye. I arrived at where the party was to my worst fear; no one that I knew was there. Being my socially awkward self, I sat on a boulder in the shadow of a huge oak and made patterns in the dirt with a claw. Other Kalons were dancing and laughing, and I was sitting alone, watching everyone having fun. Suddenly a dark gray Kalon with a shock of purple running down her back walked up to me.
"Hi! I'm Celia, why are you sitting over here? Everyone's over there!" She said, grinning from ear to ear. She sat down next to me and popped open the bag of chips. Why was she being so nice to me? I wasn't doing anything fun, and I wasn't exactly what you would call an extrovert. She popped a chip in her mouth.
"You don't have to dance. We can just hang out." She said cheerily while she crunched the chip. Celia started telling me funny jokes and stories. By the third story, I was laughing loudly, and I even decided to start dancing with the rest of the Kalons. I had made a new friend, one who would stick by me no matter what. Celia made me so happy, and I started trying new things. I wish I could relive that party all over again, to the time when I met Celia."
