The shelter was so graciously invited to our local Diwali event this year. The people in charge saw it as an
opportunity to bring an unusual factor and knew the large crowd would provide many ample opportunities
for the animals in the shelter to find a new home. We were more than happy to accept and have set up our
own place near where most of the festivities will take place to showcase the many cats and dogs looking
for a home at the shelter. We hope the celebration draws in many potential adopters with its masses.

Keeping this short and simple: sleep. You see, with her sensitive eyesight Juvela isn't much of a cat to look around and explore a lot, since the risk of exposure to anything bright/that will hurt her eyes is too risky for her. Juvela likes to just sleep all day. Lazy cat, sure. But if you don't mind, elegant cats like her need her beauty sleep.

What is their favorite thing to do?: Nura can't really do much, being partly deaf and fairly blind. However, there is one thing she excels at, Nura is a great swimmer and enjoys the water unlike many cats. The vibrations from the water help her find her way around, but the vibrations are also a way for her to "feel" the sound. She feels almost normal when swimming and it means everything in the world to her.

And so, she watches the birds, and ponder each individuals life.

xxxxxSun loves to listen to the piano. While hindered slightly due to his partial deafness, he enjoys the activity tremendously. He has also found a working solution to his lack of hearing, and has taken to laying on top pf the piano when it is being played so her can feel the vibration of the cords as they are pressed. Over time he has learned what they mean and is able to fit each with their corresponding sound.

xxxxxHis human has picked up on his habit, and helpfully keeps the lights in the room dimmed when she plays; only turning on a small reading lamp so she can see the music and the keys. With the lights low he can focus fully on the melody of the music, and is more than happy to get lost in it. Even when the instrument isn't being played, he enjoys laying around the room the piano is housed in, relaxed by the smell of the wood and the books kept in the room as well. Sun can often be found in this room when one is looking for him.
