honestly? what's the point in life if you can say a single word. having to struggle each day to write
down whatever you're trying to communicate. having to constantly use motions and actions to just
non-verbally say a single word. and if you try to talk, it's nothing but a series of mumbles and jumbles.
you know when you lose your voice? that's the problem here, but it's never going to get better and
you can't even make out a word at all. it's terrible. so here we have eden. eden can't talk.

Sometimes you just wake up sad.
Sometimes, life feels like eating mashed potatoes- add butter all you want, boil or fry them. Salt or pepper. They still just taste like bland mashed potatoes. It’s not so bad at first, but when all the food you ever eat tastes like plain ol’ mashed potatoes- what’s the point? Eating becomes tedious, and preparing food is a chore. Why even try to eat if everything is just bland and tasteless?
Of course, the answer is because you remember the taste of salt.
