Dear diary,
Happy Friday the 13th. Some magical people say that they have good luck. Others, including myself, say it's bad luck. Let me tell you what happened...
I woke up at 6:00 as normal. However, I accidentally fell back to sleep and woke up half an hour later. My bus always arrives at 7:00 sharp, so I was rushing to eat breakfast, get dressed, brush my teeth, and get all of my textbooks in my backpack. I rushed out the door on time, but it was raining so I stepped in a puddle and I got my socks wet. On the bus, a kid threw a paper airplane at me and I ended up sitting in the back of the bus. The back of the bus is the worst, as the loudest, most obnoxious, and messiest kids sit there. When the bus arrived at the middle school, I got off and went to homeroom. In science, I sneezed and spilled acid on my shirt. In algebra, I was doodling and my teacher thought I was drawing. She has a very strict "no drawing" policy so she told me if I was caught drawing again (which I wasn't, I was doodling), I would get a detention. That sucked. Fortunately, I had band afterwards, my favorite class. I play the tuba, which is probably my favorite instrument because it's the lowest-pitched instrument and it has a fun name. I had lunch afterwards. They served mac n' cheese, which may not sound bad at first, but the school made them really bad and nobody wants to eat it. Everyone has to eat the school lunches, apart from the kids who have allergies. I sat with my friend Martin, who is extremely allergic to tree nuts, gluten, and soy. Martin's pretty nice. I met him in 3rd grade, or four years ago.
"Hey, Martin." I said.
"Hello, Oliver." He replied. "Are they serving mac n' cheese? Here, have my gluten-free cookie. That stuff is awful." He said as he handed me a cookie. It was pretty good, for a cookie without wheat flour. I barely touched my mac n' cheese, so I was pretty hungry when the bell rang and I had to go to gym. Gym was awful. We were playing basketball, and someone pulled down my pants in front of all of the girls. Everyone was laughing. Still embarrassed when the bell rang, I walked to my next two classes, which were pretty normal. The only good thing that happened was when my crush, Abigail, said hi to me. I said hi back and hopped on the bus.
So, that was my day. Yeah, not the best, but at least it wasn't terrible.
Signing off,
Oliver
