when this stallion was born a storm had been brewing and raging for weeks beforehand, upon the day he came to be the storm stopped abruptly. when the new barn hear this the stable staff knew he deserved a name suiting of his arrival onto the earth.
as he grew, his handlers found him to be a natural leader and keeper of peace, when he was to be back he was a prodigy, he was given his show name.
he is a much loved member of the barn and is one of the most successful horses. he still competes and loves the lower level events when the kids groom him and treat him like a king.
s t o l e n ;
the small born he was born at was surprised when the fantasy arrived from the foundation barn. Him and his dam were placed in a field of mares and foals and they all go along so well. the local newspapers came to photograph the colt they made a story of it. he was a sensation and brought artists, photographs, and horse lovers alike flooding in hoards to see him. this attention led to jealousy. only three weeks after his arrival him and his dam were stolen from the pasture late at night, the two thought is to be like there first move, but they had created great relationships with the other horses, and were sad to see them go. the staff however were devastated, the police lead the investigation to find the local figure and though work may have been slow they tracked down every lead possible. they narrowed down their main suspects. when the police made their way down the long driveway to a run down barn, the owner had been at an open day and had been charged for neglect in the past. as they investigated the area they saw the dam. it had been a few weeks by now and she was frail. there was no sign of the young colt. as the panic rose to find him a glaring pair of lights flew past, almost wiping out an officer. they were soon hot on the reckless drivers heels. the trailer tailing the truck hinted at horses. the chase lasted for miles but traffic cops performed TPAC (tactical pursuit and containment) training to apprehend him. the trailer revealed a the fantasy as well as a manchado who had been reported missing months earlier. the malnourished foals were taken to a rehabilitation centre as well as the dams. the horses were being taken to be sold over seas and it was lucky they were caught when they were. the cronos and his mother were back in the care of the their beloved family farm and the other mare and foal were back with their family soon after that. things returned to normal, a few new gadget like cctv and silent alarms but other than that there have been no disturbances since.
you gotta friend in me ;
this stallion is social with both people and horses but nobody would have predicted the unlikely friendship that budded between the stallion and a roe deer. the first time they met it was autumn. the doe had escaped a near collision with a car after trying to outrun hunters and their hounds. she ran into the stallions half wooded paddock, hiding in the trees. the hounds chase her into the open where cronos let his curiosity get the better of him and went to see who she was. he saw the hounds and both of them ran to the fence line. a yard dogs banded together to ward the dogs of, and they were soon called back by the hunters. once the tension died down slightly the two tried to make scene of who the other was. the doe had never met a horse and the stallion had never met a deer. soon they were frolicking and kick their heels up. her herd would have been long gone by now, off to safer lands, free of hunters. she decided to stay, occasionally leaving to try find her long lost family but she always returned. then once she disappeared for over a week. cronos began to worry. he paced, left his food, and wasn't responsive under saddle. he assumed the worse. then one day at dawn he awoke to see her. in his excitement he whinnied and began to become restless. the tunnel vision surrounding his best friend faded and he soon saw what appeared to be her herd. now it all made sense. he knew it was a sad day, that he'd never see her again and they wouldn't have another race, or leaping competition nor just their grazing sessions where they just absorbed each others company. he was glad for her but it hurt him, he knew this was what she wanted and needed, and he would miss that. the herd do pass through from time to time and they catch up to see who is the fastest, and now even her fawns join in. he loved to see her and the herd and is glad she is living the life she was born to live.
