there was once a young man who was pure of heart and saw the world as a child would; full of good, and no one would intentionally hurt him.
this was far from the truth, as young elric would find out. he fell head over heels in love for a pretty girl; he would do anything for her, and for a while, the two were inseperabe. he spent every spare moment he could doing his best to please her; buying her gifts, working hard to impress her, and treating her like a princess.
however, the girl had no interest in him, only the things he could offer her, so when he fell into hard times, she left him. heartbroken, elric fell into a deep sadness. walking into the night, he disappeared into the forest, never to be seen again.

there are stories that say if you wander too far into the forest at night, one might catch a glimpse of a hazat whose coat has orange glowing like burning embers upon it. this hazat is claimed to, once spotting you, give you a terrible fright and chase you out of the woods. it is said that if lovers choose those woods to meet in, they will be single by sunrise.
