what is your favorite urban legend/or cryptid, and why?:
My favourite cryptid is the good ol' local tale of Ogopogo. The First Nations people originally saw Ogopog as a water spirit, but it has since transformed into a lake monster. As a child I was extremely scared of it, despite the fact that the statue was silly. However what solidified it for me was when I felt something brush against my leg as I was swimming. I swam back to the shore as quick as possible and did not go out too far into the lake for the rest of that summer. looking back on it, the thing was most likely a fish, but no more swimming in lakes for me.
