Why?
The quote perfectly describes Snake because of his philosophical perspective on the world and the way he truly cares for others. He thinks that everyone is equal, as each viscet is exactly like the next but still uniquely special due to the fact that while they are all made from the same sprinklings of stardust, each has an individual soul unique to that viscet, never to be seen again in the future.
