- We've all heard the legend of [i]The Lost City of Atlantis[/i]. The city filled with history and riches beyond belief. An underwater city hiding secrets worth millions. However, imagine if it wasn't a legend. That it was real life. But, it wasn't a city. It was an entire planet. A planet filled with sin- greed, lust, you name it.  These people seek out beauty and wealth- much like its twin planet, Earth, however multiplied. Not a good soul lived on this planet. Stealing. Killing. Profiting.

-Before Atlantis became sinful, they were an advanced planet, protected by the God Poseidon. Poseidon's son, Atlas, who continues to reign as the king of immortality- a corrupt king. Poseidon has since abandoned Atlantis. As they began to grow more powerful, their ethics declined. As punishment for sinning, their planet was submerged in water and now live their sinful lives under the waves. They adapted to the water and continued to live sinful lives.

Their last chance at regaining God's favor, they would say. As a child, she spread joy with her smile, even though others would just scowl at her and yell at her, [i]"Beat it, kid!"[/i]. She continued to smile, even though she was hit and yelled at, and spat on, she still smiled. She was named "Elpis" ἐλπίς, ίδος, ἡ- the greek word for hope or expectation. She was told that she was the daughter of Poseidon and her beautiful mother, Raya.

-She was wedded to Atlas. He took a liking to her after accidentally running into her (quite literally) when she was a child. She bumped into him. And as he growled at her, she smiled up at him cheerfully and giggled aloud. He had never met a girl like her. And so, when she grew and became even more beautiful, she was sent a formal letter from the King asking for her presence. When she went, he proposed to her- forcefully. He told her that he would kill her and her family if she didn't. Fearing her mother's life and her own, she accepted. She then wedded to him and was crowned queen. She lived in sorrow, locking herself away in her room, refusing to share a room with Atlas, no matter how much he forced himself onto her. She would not rain her happiness on Atlantis in her state of self-imprisonment. She would starve herself for long periods of time and wouldn't sleep. When in the public eye, she held close to Atlas in her weakened state, smiling as best she could, acting as if she were happy.

-Atlantis was always constantly battling "the land of the cyborgs"- a huge planet with valuable metals. Atlantis desperately wanted control over that planet because of its values. However, one night, the cyborgs' air-born battleship hovered close above Atlantis. With a single press of a button, destructive bullets rained down on Atlantis. Elpis glowed that night, brighter than ever before. That morning, when she woke, all of Atlantis was destroyed- all of its people dead- even Atlas, the Great immortal king. She was left alone. She shouted at the sky, tears streaming down her face like small rivers. She peered up, through the water at the cyborgs and pledged revenge on her people- no matter if they hurt her.

Her personality, in short:
Elpis is very loyal to her family, friends, and people. As a child, she was very cheerful, though because of a turn of events, her smile was wiped away and wouldn't return until later in her life (after the war). She has a love for her people, even though they hurt her. She has a good sense of justice and pride in being from Atlantis. Elpis has always been very passionate in everything she does, and won't stop until she achieves her goals. After being married to Atlas, she has become more reserved, however, she aims to bring happiness back and live a peaceful life after the war, though much to her dismay, this is not the case.
