Farah is the complete, polar opposite of a nihilist. There is simply too much good in the world to give up on it.

There is greed, anger, fear, pain, despair — the list is only surpassed in length by the number of lives lost needlessly.

And still, she loves.

She loves the sweetness in the air after a rain, and the cool lull before the crispness of dawn, and even just seeing dust particles in a particularly bright ray of light.

Because they are all reminders that yes, the world needs a rest, and yes, the world takes its breaks, but all the while, the world and everyone in it is still breathing, even just for another moment.

We live and she loves.

She is happy —

Because life is full of opportunities and occasions to be celebrated.

Imagine some beautiful place.
Sea, sand, mountains. Beautiful view.
Or it could be apple trees, bushes full of berries, green grass. All things are beautiful in their
own way.
Or it could be your own home. A place, where you are safe from everything.

For me, happiness is when you feel like you belong. I'm happy when I'm home.

Let me help you imagine. You have a cup of tea in your hands, maybe coffee - it does not
matter. It's growing dark outside. There is an open window in your room, and the curtains
are swaying to the wind. You hear a little sound, a ringing of something - and you think that
with such a sound stars can fall. You feel warm and comfortable in your home.

Someone is kissing you on the top of your head. It's your lover, your soulmate, your
significant other. They sits down next to you, looks at you. They always supports you
when you need support, but now...

Now you're relaxed and calm. No stress, no worries. What more can you ask for?

And that's why I'm so happy on these beautiful autumn evenings. "

why are they happy? ;;
Aleida could practically feel the excitement around her.
She took a look around at all of the people, looking up to the
bleachers that were quickly filling up. She tugged her phone
out her back pocket, turning the screen on for a moment's time.
Ten minutes until the band came out. She felt butterflies, a
smile growing on her face. She had gotten a pretty good seat-
more towards the front than the middle. Aleida was SO glad
she got a ticket where the location was far away from where
she lived. Nobody knew her here. If she rocked out to the band
and screamed the lyrics, nobody would care. She felt as that
if people she knew saw her, and knew her personality, that
they would instantly judge her. Despite her bright colors
and her girly-girl front, she was actually a huuuuuge metal fan.
Most people in her daily life judged people who liked metal-
she didn't get why, it was the 21st century-and she didn't want
them to look at her any differently and she didn't want them to
know the real her.The singer beginning to talk into the
microphone snapped her out of her thoughts, and after he was
done speaking, people around her began to shout. She decided
to join in, a wide smile adorning her face. While the band played,
she head-banged and screamed the lyrics along with the other
people around her. She felt so free and amazing. She could
be herself around these people. They didn't judge her for the
things she was doing because they knew how excited everyone
was. Even after she returned home, she was still buzzing about
the experience for awhile. Her coworkers would ask what
made her so happy that day, but she would just give them a
smile and reply with a "nothing."

Tilly opened her eyes and let out a happy sigh at the sight of a twinkling periwinkle sky. She stood atop a cloud, fluffy and soft as could be beneath her paws, surrounded by glittering stars, wisps of color, and fantastical little creatures flitting through the air. The world below seemed so distant, looking small enough to comfortably fit in her paw, but clearly alive with light, sound, and cheerful voices ringing out in song and laughter.

She let out a cheery laugh of her own as she leapt off the cloud, floating gracefully down as stars faded to glittering confetti in the air. Other kalon, with wings, and horns, and flowers growing from their backs danced below in a dazzling array of color, and she was all to happy to join in as each greeted her, Lady Tilly the Lucid Dreaming God of Twinkletopia. A bit of a mouthfull, it managed to flow so quick and smooth in the mouths of these friends who could speak into her head. She supposed that made sense, they were essentially creations of her own mind after all.

Once she tired of the dancing she simply leapt across the stars to a new planet. One boasted a waterfall that plunged so far she couldn't see the bottom. The next was made of glistening jello, fun to bounce on without any stickiness coming off on her paws. The smile never left her face, as wonder after wonder opened up before her until-

The sun glared in her eyes as she awoke to the sharp sound of an alarm, refreshingly visceral after a night spent in a reality as fluid as her own thoughts. She let out a yawn as she stretched, the feel of movement in her stiff muscles incredibly pleasant, and gently rolled off her bed to find the source of that wonderful smell wafting on the breeze.

Bacon, eggs, orange juice, and toast awaited her at the little store next door, a homey place run by a charming older couple she felt she'd known forever right from the day she met them. The old wallpaper peeled in places, the signs were badly sun-bleached, and most of the tables had a bit of rock to them where legs were giving up, but it felt lived in and alive, and she wouldn't have had it any other way.

Her ever-present smile stayed happily on her face as she went about her day. She stopped to sniff at a freshly bloomed rose, blew away the seeds of a dandelion. She tried a new coffee shop, and got a bit of a quiet laugh at how horrifically unexpectedly bitter her drink came out. She had a lovely conversation with a kalon she would no longer call a stranger, and even when she fell face-first into a mud puddle, she took a moment to splash about in it a moment before going to clean her fur. The world was solid, and flawed, and realer than anything, and she wanted to embrace and experience every tiny bit of it.

Her content sigh couldn't have been more genuine as she finally nesteled back into her own bed that night, eyes drifting gently shut. She was given the gift of living in two worlds, and both of them were beautiful.
