Why is she sad?: She is sad because she just found out that her friend, Tazanna is getting adopted. She is happy for Tazanna of course, but deep down she wonders, will anyone ever want a three legged border collie? She can't do her job anymore, even simple exercises can be hard for her, ever since she got her leg caught in that hunter's trap.
Though she made her peace with her situation long ago she can't help it when doubts still creep into her mind, telling her she will never be worthy of love, or a home. Not the way she is. Her worth had been based on her ability to protect a flock and fend off intruders, and when she could no longer do that her owners left her here.

Of course, little did she know that at that very moment a family was asking about her at the front desk. She would be going home sooner than she imagined.

✿ why is she sad?: ✿

While Avalon, Ava for short, didn't have the best life before
arriving at the shelter, she will miss the imaginary homes and
scenarios she had created in her head. Most people would
think that the loss of her leg was what caused her to be sad,
her leg was lost when she was young to a car accident. Her
previous owners had kept her in a crate for hours at a time,
something that should not be done to an active dog such as a
border collie. Apparently they believed that if their dog had
3 legs, it wouldn't need as much exercise as a 4 legged pup.
While laying in the crate, Ava would create her own worlds
and dream homes to live in. Ones with acres of land, others
where she could cuddle up by the fire after a long hike with
her owners. Sometimes she would have adventures, sailing on
ships or chasing crabs on a foreign beach. She is excited to be
going to a home where one of these dreams might possibly come
true, but it still feels as if she's left all of her worlds and adventures
behind. She's worried that she won't have time to daydream or go on
more 'adventures' once she's in her new home.
