Mackiel spotted another Kalon seeming to be carrying a base drum case for another student.
"Uhff.. Here ya go Staples! Now be like your nickname and be prepared for the next game!" "I! And thank's again Zapdos!"
Mackiel watched the interaction with curiousity.
Staples? Zapdos? What's with the marching band?
"Sorry to keep you waiting, who are you?" "Oh, I'm Mackiel. I'm here for the bass guitar lesson." "Ah so you're the one. Got it! Hey Silks!?" A faint voice from a room connected to this one is heard. "Yes?" "We need the bass!" "We don't have any fish." "I ment the instrument one!"
A few seconds later, another Kalon walks in from the direction of the shouting.
"Keep the change." She says as she walked back to whatever 'Silks' was doing.
"Ok, now before we actually start learning, I'm Mr. Z. Otherwise know as Zapdos because of the time Pokemon Go came out and my whole class wanted to be a Team Valor team, then I chose Instinct." "Pfft-
Ha!" "Exactly, now that you know my story, have anything you need to get out so I don't mess up during the lesson?" "Well, I have some preferred pronouns.. I like they and them, as well as she and her.." "Wonderful!"
"..Really?" "Yea! Now I can call you... Hmm.. Uh- No.. How aboouuuttt.. Crayon!" "Niccee." "Perfect! Ready to learn the scale?" "YES!"
Just by the band director's enthusiasm, Mackiel felt this was going to be a great band season.

My band uses nicknames for people leaving Staples the only one inspired by my friend in band. Base drums are indeed heavy and I almost died with one. Hope you enjoyed!

The table shook in an irrational anger, pens and tickets scattering across the room. Boss was mad, really mad.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! THE MOVIE? YOU BROKE IT ALL!"
I slunk in my chair. Boss swept his hand over my collection of burnt homework and assignments. I hadn't known
that the camera had fallen over, heck, i didn't know it was there! Now I'm literally fired and i need to pay near thousands
of dollars for a cheap camera? My bags loaded. I got out of the movie theater, sprinting. I turned one last time to my boss, who was furious and enraged.
"Sayonara!" running 100 miles home.

it was hours, if not days since i ran out of that theater. Movie film and burns cluttered in my palms. I sighed and turned the key to my apartment, located just on the outside of the city. The sweet smell of candle and tea filled my senses. Tossing my bag, i opened up the laptop i got forever ago, but hey, it still works. I clicked around for hiring jobs, but never have i seen this before. I visited the same site over and over, and over again, but never did i ever see an animation job. Intrigued by the topic, i signed a resume and called it a day. I hardly look back at my theater box job, or jobs at all. But who said i cant ever have the money or a nice job?

Lightboxes lit up my face, my eyes eager with a burning love for a touch of the animation. I lived calm, for once. Project: Ponyo was starting, with my hand and eyes focused with determination, i began. I sketched for hours. My heart bloomed with love. Everything i needed was here with me... passion.
