It is thank to Soraya's upbringing as a Nomad in the Ravine that she is who she is today. Nomadic lions are often on their own as adults; so, Soraya was taught by her mother to work independently of others. When She was on her own for long stays during the day, Soraya learned how to be observant and know her surroundings. Through hunts with her mother and father, Soraya learned to be dedicated to her task and work reliably - for Taxon hunts can be a long process.
-
Due to all this knowledge, Soraya grew quite confident in her abilities. With her confidence came her courage.
However, Soraya has not remained unshaped by her exposure to the Pride. For the Pride has taught Soraya how to be loyal and further her dedication. It has also taught her that, sometimes, it is important to guard one's self against others.
-
Even without these influences, Soraya has shown a natural ambition - a desire. With all of this, and despite everything she has been through, Soraya is very true to who she is.

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════╗In the Very Beginning wrote:In order to truly understand Soraya's history, we must go to the very beginning. Our journey starts not with Soraya herself, but with her parents - Basil and Khari.
-
Basil was a handsome young male who had just reached the age of adulthood. He was born into the Rebellion, destined to win the war for the Death Alpha Arknon.
Khari was a lovely young lioness. She too, was new to adulthood. She was born a nomad, she served neither side and had no intention of ever heeding the call of the Death or Time Alpha.
It was when Basil had been assigned a solo recruitment mission that he first met Khari. He had been tasked with luring more strong and capable lions to the Rebellion. Basil turned on the charms the moment he saw this beautiful young lioness, but he was not prepared for her charms. Khari refused Basil's offer of treasure and glory for fighting for a ruthless tyrant. This frustrated Basil, he soon left - unable to waste anymore time. However, he was unable to forget Khari.
He felt some part of him drawn to her; and for Khari the same was true. She was captivated by Basil's charisma, but she would follow no one to war.
-
As said before, Basil and Khari never forgot each other. Over a few short years, Basil soon grew to dislike his place in the Rebellion. He had charisma, but it was considered nothing in a group that prizes raw power. Remembering Khari, he snuck away from the Rebels to visit her.
Basil was quite pleased to find that she had not moved all to far from where he had last seen her. Khari was not surprised to see Basil again - in fact she greeted him by teasing him.
And this began their secret liaisons. Basil and Khari would meet each other in secret for several month. Basil never asked for Khari to come back to the Rebellion with him, for his time with Khari only distanced him more from the life he had known. Finally, Khari asked Basil to be her lover - and to run away with her. Basil lovingly agreed, and the pair join in a wondrous embrace before leaving the lands of the Unknown. The Tragedy of New Life wrote:The pair set out for the south-east, heading towards the Ravine. Basil expressed worry about cutting through Pride lands, and the Rebels tracking him. It was decided that they might be able to go around through the GraveYard, as it was well known that few lions would go through there.
However, all was not as expected within Khari. Deep within the safety of her womb developed new life - cubs.
This was a fact not yet known by either of the nomads. So they felt no need to hasten their journey to the Ravine. They took their time, playing and lounging about when ever they felt like it - they were still young lions after all. Three months had past before they ever made it to the GraveYard.
-
A lion's pregnancy lasts around 110 days - a little over three months. Khari was well into her pregnancy even before they reached the GraveYard. So, it was of little surprise that Khari when into labor while the pair were well within the lands of the GraveYard.
Khari, a lioness who only grew up with her mother and father, had little idea what was happening to her. For all she knew, she was dying. Basil, on the other paw, has seen many lionesses go into labor within the walls of the Rebel compound. He guided his queen to a small ditch, and assisted her the best he could.
Basil breathed sweet nothings into Khari's ear as he ordered her to push. After several minutes, a small moist bundle hit the dirt. Basil bent to attend to the cub, but felt to no heart beat. He hid is pained expression from Khari as he moved the cub away. Again he turned to his mate and ordered her to push. Many more minutes than before passed before the next dead cub fell from Khari's body. This time Basil could not hide his face in time. Khari let out a wail before resting her head - to tired to raise it again.
But they were not done. Basil felt the contractions strengthen - he pleaded with his mate to push with all of her strength. Khari had little left to give, but she tried. Soon came a small grey cub. As Basil bent down, expecting the worst, he found this cub was still alive.
Basil cleaned the cub and brought it to Khari's side. The cub began to nurse. The pair were relieved, this ordeal was over.
-
The pair had little choice but to remain in the barren GraveYard until Khari had her strength back. Basil hunted for his mate and daughter, catching what little he could. There was three of them now, and their flight from the Unknown lands was all the more dire. If they could make it to the Ravine, all would be alright.
-
It took Basil and Khari some time to think up a name for their daughter. Basil remembered he mother used to call him a 'little king' and that is what his name meant. Khari laughed at the coincidence - for her name meant queen. It was decided that they would name their daughter Soraya, officially making her their little princess.Making a Home wrote:Basil and Khari left the GraveYard, each taking turns on carrying Soraya. The pair had to make frequent stops so that Soraya could nurse and Basil could hunt. It took the little family two months to reach the Ravine.
Basil set out on a hunt, while he left Khari and Soraya to secure a den. Luckily, they were able to find a secure den about half-way down the Ravine away from strangers and close to a food source.
-
Basil and Khari set fourth on teaching their your daughter how to survive. Khari reasoned with Basil that if Soraya was to be a successful nomad, Soraya must begin learning to thrive on her own a soon as possible. Basil, who had grown up in the security of a Pride, felt that Soraya shouldn't be forced to grow up to soon.
Khari persisted in her notion that this was the nomad's way, and Basil soon relented. However, every chance he got to steal his daughter away from training and to have her play.
-
The little family went on like this for years. They believed themselves to be safe, tucked away between rocks in the remote Ravine. As things tend to do, times did not say that wall for very long. The Fall wrote:Soraya, as all cubs with nomadic roots, grew up very quickly. Despite still having the physique of a cub, she was already learning to hunt and defend herself. Nearly as soon as she was old enough, Soraya was participating in long treks across the globe.
-
Despite the harsh lifestyle, Soraya wished to be no place else. She was protected and loved by Basil and Khari. As far as they were concerned, Soraya would need to know nothing else other than to hunt and avoid confrontation. They coddled their daughter, and for this they paid a high price.
-
Basil and Soraya were chasing down an injured Taxon buck, trying to force the hooved creature into the waiting jaws of Khari. They had just about done their part, but as Khari leaped to sink her jaws into the tender flesh of the Taxon's throat, Khari found fangs in her own. Basil and Soraya watched in horror as a large ginger male brought down Khari and the life was drained from her eyes.
-
Basil rushed at the lion, but found his path barred by another large lion - this one a dark male. Soraya stayed where she had been left, but she had not going unnoticed by either the ginger or dark males.
-
The dark male introduced himself as Enzo and his partner as Ezra. He said they were emmisaries of some lion called Arknon, and then he addressed Basil by name. Basil snarled at this, and his eyes flicked back over to Soraya. The ginger male - Ezra, noticed Basil's eye and looked at Soraya. His bloodied lips raised in a smile as he slunk around.
Soraya stared up at them in awe; she swore the saw the flicker of another lion's eyes above the dark male. Soraya dropped her body to the ground when she felt a shadow fall over her. A paw with claws extended met her head and she squealed in terror.
-
Basil swong his head around crying out for his daughter. Enzo took the opportunity, and thrust his full weight into Basil. Basil well to the ground and snarled up at Enzo. He demanded that Soraya be let go. Enzo chuckled deeply, he said that Soraya was free only to leave with them - she would make a nice little slave to Arknon.
Basil thrust himself forward quickly at Enzo, and Ezra let Soraya go to subdue Basil. A roar drew the attention of everyone in the clearing as three lions - a light pink lioness, a soft yellow lioness, and a deep red lion - rushed into the clearing.
-
Enzo and Ezra turned their attention from the tattered remains of the nomad family to focus on the new comers. Enzo addressed the pink lioness as Jezebel. He told her that this was none of her business, and that they were only there to play. The red male snarled back that Ezra only knows how to play with his teeth, and Ezra told the read lion - Tsar to watch his words.
-
After many minutes of posturing, Enzo snarled that he and Ezra would leave, but threatened to return again, and this time they would not be stopped. Jezebel watched as the two rebels trotted off, but Enzo stopped on the hill. He called down to Basil, reminding him that once a lion was a rebel, they were always a rebel. Suspicious eyes fell to the beaten male.
-
Jezebel told the yellow lioness - Amalthia, to attend to Soraya. Soraya had not dared to raise herself off the ground; her bright red eyes were wide with shock. Tsar and Jezebel moved to question Basil.
Basil explained what he could, and the two other lions nodded. The Jezebel spoke, saying that the patrol would guide the family back to the pride. Basil reacted violently, he said that he would never go to the pride.
Jazebel nodded, and asked if they could take Soraya. Basil looked gravely at his daughter. He knew that the rebels would return for him. He looked away, with tears in his eyes, told Jvzebel and Tsar to take Soraya.
-
Jezebel, Tsar, and Amalthia spoke with one another for a short time. Basil and Soraya joined together over Khari's body. Soraya was slowly recovering. Basil said that these three lions were there help them, and that Soraya needed to be strong. Soraya said she was, and that they had raised her to be. Basil smiled down at his daughter and said he knew. This was their goodbye.
-
Jezebel ordered Tsar to carry Soraya, but Soraya refused. She said she was strong enough to travel, and the three lions did not refuse. They left Basil who looked so strong next to the body of Khari. However, the moment the party was out of sight Basil collapsed and began to sob.Arrival to the Pride wrote:On the third sun of the party's journey to the Pride's Lands, Soraya felt a stinging in her heart. She knew her father to be dead; The Rebels had kept their promise. Although she felt tears sting at her eyes, she did not let them fall. She kept her eyes on Jazebel as she lead the way.
They traveled on for several days. Jezebel, Tsar, and Amalthia talked quietly to one another as they went. None said all to much to Soraya.
-
Finally, the traveling party reached Pride Lands. Soraya was assaulted by a magical dust that sated the hunger that began to gnarl at her belly. She felt many eyes burrow into her, but she kept her head high as she was lead by the party into the council's chamber.
Soraya did not get to speak much, only tell of what happened just before the Pride's patrol had found her and her father. Jezebel did most of the talking. A purple winged lioness who did not give Soraya their name looked her over before calling to a brown lion. Squall introduced himself, and lead Soraya away from Amalthia and Tsar.
-
Squall tends to Soraya, healing her of her wounds from travel and tried to ease her fears. He let her sleep in his den until they were both called for once more.
Soraya was lead back into the council chamber. Again, many eyes stared her down and she refused to shrink away. Squall left her side as a large lion stepped forward. He introduced himself as the Time Alpha Ethereal. He welcomed Soraya to the lands of the Defenders of the Cosmos.
Ethereal apologized with the rough manner she was been treated with thus far, and offers her three days of rest while the council confers on her behalf. Soraya thanks Ethereal, and she is lead away by Squall once more.
-
Like was promised to her Soraya received three days of rest. She meets with many other cubs who inquires about who she is or where she hails from. Soraya tells them little, she decided to tell very little who her parents were.
Some of the parents of these cubs eye her with suspicion. Soraya asked one of the cubs why, and way told some thought her to be a Rebel spy.
Soraya was enraged. She yelled about how Rebels murdered her parents and how she would never work for such blood thirsty cowards. But that was not all. Soraya also railed on about how the Pride should be ashamed. This did not win her any favors.
-
Finally, Soraya was called in by the council again. Her fate had been decided. Ethereal offered Soraya a chance to stay if she agreed to train as a Prison Guard. Soraya asked if she might be able to aid the Pride in the war as a Prison Guard. A lion named Arcturus answered that she would be in charge of overseeing the swift capture and containment of wanted criminals - like Enzo and Ezra.
Soraya agreed.
Ethereal spoke again. He announced that Amalthia would train Soraya in the proper use of her light element, and Tsar would train Soraya to become a prison guard. Soraya was relieved to know those tasked with her training were lions she already knew.
Amalthia and Tsar appeared by Soraya's side, and led her out of the council chamber.
Thus began Soraya's training.Family Tree wrote:[ Mother & Father]

Soraya hopes to see him pay for the murder of her family - hopefully for him to spend the rest of his days locked away in a prison.Ezra - Rebel - Enemy
"I saw how he killed my mother. This lion lusts for destruction - hopefully his will come to him soon."
All Soraya ever saw in this lion's eyes was malice. As he held her down, she felt through his paw pads the hot anger that boiled in his blood. Soraya does wish to see this lion pay for the destruction he caused, but she expects it to be on the battlefield.Jezebel - Pride - Ally
"She led me to the life I have now. I am thankful for that."
Soraya knew the moment Jezebel looked at her that Jezebel would not leave her that fated day. Soraya is grateful for that Jezebel has done for her, and while Soraya is unable to repay her; Soraya hopes to one day.Squall - Pride - Confidant
"This lion helped me out a lot when I came to the pride. He healed my wounds and listened to me."
Compassion oozed from Squall, and it showed clear as day to Soraya the moment he lead her away and began to treat her paw-pads. His gentle words helped put Soraya at ease that first day. It became clear that Squall was a lion who Soraya could go to in times of trouble.

The party that intervened between her father and Rebel party saved her life. The Pride even offered her a chance to farther her knowledge and skill. However, she doesn't see what is all that great about the Pride beyond that. The lions within appear to be just as hateful as the Rebels do, and Ethereal seemed to be at a loss at what to do - something that had been left out in all the stories of the great Time Alphas.
Soraya is impressed by the Pride's resources, but not the Pride itself. At this point in her life, Soraya stays for she has very little choice and a chance at bringing justice to the murderous Rebels.Opinions on the Rebels wrote:Soraya has not spent long with the Rebel faction - having only met Enzo and Ezra. However, that meeting has shaped her own prejudice against the entire Rebel organization. To her, they appear to be little more than blood thirsty dogs who seek dominion over all lions - even those who want to part in the war. Soraya does know that some lions from the Rebellion are there against their own will and those born into it are there against their will. This was hinted at by Enzo and Ezra, but was confirmed by Soraya's time with the Pride. Soraya wishes to bring 'justice' to the Rebellion for their crimes against her family.╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

My Name wrote:
Faith means two things. It means to believe in, and it means to trust in.
These two things are very different from one another. The first meaning
reminds me of my mother - she always believed, even when things were
bad, that we would make it through. That all this fighting was
unnecessary. That peace was just around the corner.
She placed her faith, me, on the path to peace, the means to an end.
The second meaning reminds me of Esh-Ban, my caretaker. He sees in
the war revenge, a way to honor his father. He follows blindly anyone
with a chance at ending this, no matter what side.
He places his faith in the end, not the means.
I find myself In the position of uncertainty. I see a means, and I see
an end. I can't connect them. I don't know which to believe in, which
to pursue. The path my mother walked cannot lead too the future
I know is coming. I want to continue her mentality, but I don't
want to do it for Esh-Ban's end. I don't see another way. I don't know
what to do. It's ironic That my name should be faith, when I have none.

A lion with the gift of life can: Bring life back to anything they touch, heal
the dying, sick or injured, can increase strength of others by touching them.
My element is that of life. In it I see the light in others. With the
power of life, I can heal, and even bring things back to life, if I'm lucky. I've
never been able to intentionally do this, but I love to see the flowers that
pop up when I've been sitting still for a long time. The joy that comes from
using my element often outmatches my other joys and I show it off quite
frequently. I often boost Uncle Beau's and Esh's strength before they head
out, and they make sure to give me a quick grooming of gratitude. I
typically use this as a good luck to warriors. My element isn't strong, but
I practice with it as much as possible so that one day it will be.

Farren is a lion of two names. One from his nearly forgotten past; and the other from his present. To him each name holds a special place in his heart and will forever love the two lions who gave them to him.
When you first meet Farren you will notice he is a very quite cub, doesnt have much to say about anything or anyone. He was not always like this but due to some unseen circumstances he is no longer the cub he used to be.
Within such a short life span little Farren has changed a great deal from his birth to where he is now.
Hello! Are we allowed to do anything special with the horns? Some kind of glow? Number restrictions? Do they have to just be on the top of the head?
