"nature writing."
i love the trees, grass, and flowers, and the lakes, rivers, and oceans.
i love the sunlight on dew at dawn, and i love the blooms in spring, and i love the lapping of lakes
on grassy shores.
i love the music of chirping birds in crisp day, i love the warmth of the sunlight upon my shoulders,
and i love the peace of floating water lilies in quiet ponds.
and with the love i bear for all that lives around me, i will forever pour my heart out onto paper and
write, write, and write.
for i love nature, and this is the love that fuels my passion of words.
"hush! and listen, to the whispers of the wind tiptoeing around pastures, listen to the murmurs
of trees sharing their ancient knowledge in hushed tones, and listen to the song of flowers
swaying in the warm breeze, under the gentle sun that embraces them, in the arms of the
butterflies that waltz among them.
see the lively bubble of streams singing their joyful tunes, hear the tuneful birds in
harmony with the chirping grasshoppers, watch the tango of woodland creatures chattering
and chasing each other among the woods.
does thou see how beautiful she is? nature, that is, nature that grows, lives, breathes and
sings a song of beautiful, beautiful life. for her nourishment bring us the citrine that is day,
the amethyst that is night, the ruby that is the sun, the zircon that is the moon, the sapphire
that is the lakes and seas, the emerald that is the trees, and the sinhalite that is the earth.
a jewel is what we envision in our minds' eyes, and this is the jewel our earth be.
dearest, cast thine eyes that shine like the sun over yonder apatite forest standing tall like
maidens poised for dance, cast thine eyes that twinkle like stars on zephyros' gentle breeze
kissing and nurturing young buds, cast thine eyes that glimmer like oceans on the beauty that
is the lotus floating serene on a lapis lake.
this, love, is the image of eloquence, the peace of nature that nurtures. and my love, may
your lakes be peaceful, your trees stand tall, your flowers flourish, for as long as i live, i will
pour my love onto paper, and eternalise my ode to you through the ink with which i write."

she grows her own garden; not one of plants, though she wishes, but rather a garden of her words.
she writes of the oak woods she played in as a child- the trees which grow tall, close to her home,
and she writes of the marigolds that adorn her path on the way to the library everyday- to borrow
new books, of course, and she writes of the squirrels who leap across the trees in the new park
across the street.
she watches the bees and butterflies dance among the rosebushes, and she watches the birds sing
in the shade of green leaves, and she watches a stone skip across the surface of a pond.
and all of this, she writes and writes about, in the leather moleskine she keeps safely by her
everyday, and with her faithful fountain pen, she sits curled up in her favourite coffeeshop,
peaceful and just cozy enough, with a cup of bancha hojicha, and lets her thoughts and love spill
from the ink onto the paper.
she crafts her own garden sown from ink and words, of the whisper of the wind, of the smile of the
sun, of the rustle of the trees.
