Tikki's world is more or less a second crust of the planet Ardaria. The "shedding" crust of rock that they live on is actually an ancient site for the birddo species, which are the primary inhabitants of the new crust.
___
Old Crust___
The structures of the floating rocks themselves are, as stated before, the remanences of the ancient "Old Crust" that was lived on by the early settlers of the Birddo species. Many azure-magic-filled structures still remain as well as some mysterious unbreakable huts, which are believed by the current Birddos to be filled with priceless feathers from their ancestors. The land itself is a light violet in hue and the texture is a powdery dust with bubble particles. These, along with the small, shedding, home planet, make the ground almost bouncy when it fills with moisture and most of the inhabitants of the land are able to travel great distances with just one leap. Despite this there is a magnetic pulse that, depending on the season, pulls the old crust closer to earth to the point where one can jump up to it while it is still airborne; the old crust has never been recorded actually landing on the planet after it floated away. Most of the Old Crust is gone, likely from the bubble sand falling over time, though as of right now the structures are very sturdy and are now rarely used. There is also an underground cave system that runs through most of the floating planet, which provides great homes to Ardaria's almost entire population of flying or hopping creatures. Overall the temperature in these areas is very cold even in comparison to our own Antarctica because of the distance it is to the outermost layer of atmosphere and small size.
___
New Crust___
The new crust of Arderia is very similar in appearance and structure to the Old Crust, but due to being younger the planet is far hotter, sturdier, and more vibrant in colour. Many members of the Birddo species still live here, though many more have branched out to live on Ardaria's seventeen moons and microplanets. The temperature here rarely gets over our own planet's temperatures of our tropical jungles, even with it's own volcano systems. There are multiple biomes on this planet though the main are the cold desert and Azure jungles. Though there are no oceans, a giant connected system of rivers runs throughout the planet. The water-like liquid here has a tendency to be attracted to metallic surfaces as well, making it easier to move and on occasions (when a certain material of spaceship docks or a metal-heavy part of the Old Crust is present) it seems to defy the gravity of the planet. There is precipitation here as well, though it doesn't happen often and tends to quickly expand the width of the rivers. The clouds themselves never go higher than the Old Crust. Ardaria also, despite its small size, has a wide variety of residents and visitors and even has microplanets and moons dedicated to species alone.
___
Birddos___
The Birddos actually have a far more complex name of
Bireaditier dodoris but with earth's influence in the galaxy and the easier name of Birddos, the nickname stuck. It didn't offend anyone luckily, and the Birddo species itself is actually very pleased that they were compared with a kind of creature from earth. The species as a whole is very technologically advanced with their "Azure Magic" and have created things like portals, transporters, and many inventions one might only see in science fiction. They are also very active explorers, and while not liking surprises, their determination runs solely to discover new places. The appearance is often described as feathery raptors, though they can stand up far straighter and sometimes look humanoid in structure. One to seven antenna can sprout from their heads and their feathers' colours reach to places that humans cannot even comprehend. They tend to eat the Ardarian form of eels and rats.
___
Tikki's involvement___
Tikki, along with some other kinds of very thick-furred Kalons, live here because it is the perfect temperature for them and their fur year-round. Most of these Kalons have been on this planet for a little over a century and tend to live in the magenta ice caves in the plains. When Tikki was very little, she was taken as an apprentice by a red-feathered Birddo by the name of Yai and taken back to live amongst her forest city. She got the chance to spend time with her own kind, including her family, but ultimately followed in Yai's talonsteps due to the dream of being an adventurer. She learned to do things the Birrdo way until she finally got the chance to set up a ship repair shop on the highest level of Old Crust. She offers free repairs to troubled ships at this outpost and can defend herself pretty well. She is currently staying with an archeologist Birddo, Zan, who is studying the star be Birrdo artifacts at her outpost. It is a big adventure to Tikki, though when she gets more experienced she plans to travel to other planets as well.
