Hey there, everyone!
Sorry to make a post so suddenly and give everyone mini heart attacks! x-0
Something important has come up, and I really want to address it.
Regarding judging: I am planning on announcing the winner sometime soon, as I am close to finishing the discussion of the forms with my guest judge. Please do note that, regardless of what is said, nothing will affect or sway our opinions when it comes down to deciding who the winner shall be. The winner will be chosen based on how well they conveyed their character, how much effort they put in, and how much character development occurs in their form.
It has been brought to my attention that there's been harassment happening over this competition.
I am utterly disappointed to learn about this; please remember to follow the rules at all times, especially these select few:
[General Respect]
✦Respect one another at all times. Staff are just as liable. No discrimination of any sort in any way is tolerated.
✦Do not poke at, bug, or otherwise harass other users within the community.
[Adopting & Competitions]
✦Show good sportsmanship, win or lose you should be kind and respectful of others.
✦Since the Snipe Guard is be used at the artists discretion not all competitions will be subject to this, so know you are not permitted to pm or harass an artist stating that you think there's been a snipe form.

Hoooo boy.
This was another super tough, neck to neck competition. There were so many fantastic forms, creative ideas, and excellent character building displayed all over. It was an absolute honor to be able to design this viscet, as well as to judge it. It really does pain me to say that there can only be one winner for this legendary viscet.
All of you who entered did an amazing job, and I truly do hope that, one day, you all will be able to find another perfect design to match your characters up with. As there were quite a few qualifying forms, please do not beat yourself up or talk yourself down if you weren't able to win. Everyone did their best with what they had submitted even despite time restrictions and whatnot, and that's certainly something to be proud of ^^ Creating forms for a competition like this certainly isn't easy, and I admire and applaud those who took the chance to enter.
I had a lot of fun reading through the forms; I must admit that I found it difficult to prevent myself from browsing through them when the competition was ongoing. Being able to see you all work on your forms gradually is always a cool experience, especially seeing that so much can take place over a few weeks. It was amazing to see how the forms blossomed; all of the forms started out from a simple seed of an idea, and soon grew into something much more.
So, thank you, to each and every individual who decided to enter, or who played with the thought of entering in it.
To explain how I, as well as the guest judge, judged through the forms, here are the few things that we were primarily looking for in a form:
- Whether or not a form reached 200+ words for the character's personality
- How much character development was present in the form
- How coherent the character was throughout the entire form
- How much effort, thought, and care was put into the form
- How well the character was conveyed through their form
- How well they used the unlimited extras to explain their character
While they didn't play too big of a role in determining who won or received a prize, we also looked at things like:
- Grammar
- Pacing
- Coding
- Art
I would like to announce some shout outs first. If your username is listed here, I felt the need to compliment your form, ideas, etc. Those listed will not receive anything except kind words.
Shout Outs wrote:~Emmy~
Aura is just an all around adorable character; I loved how inquisitive she was, especially during the first part of her story. Despite how tragic her story was, I did find it great that she looked at her situation with a positive outlook.
The art that you and others did for your form were also super cute; I love how there's a piece of art that shows us what Aura's blanket looks like. Small details like that are always appreciated, as they can often be overlooked ^^
Abraxis
I really like the plan that you had for Cortana's bracelet; it being able to show her mood, or rather how agitated she was at that precise moment, was quite the unique idea that I haven't thought about. I also found it interesting with how her floral accessories also played a major role in terms of her powers and mood ^^
Flamed_Writer
Locus' personality sounds like he would make quite the interesting individual, especially with the selfish but selfless part that you had written down. I do like how you wrote him to be a realistic character who has flaws ^^
Squeeze
I love the idea that you had for your character, and the story that you had written did indeed catch my attention. Your writing is very well done; I love how you explained how Sephira received her form, as well as what her bracelet symbolized for her. Her relationship with the witch was unique, and I really do hope that you continue on with this story!
Next, I would like to awards some stubs to a few honorable mentions! If your username is listed here, you can message Razors to claim the number of stubs listed next to your username for the stub shop.
Honorable Mentions wrote:Mint Chip - x1 Stub
Amaro's personality description was phenomenally written; while it still surpassed the minimum requirement, it was quick and to the point. I did like the little twist to his character (in which he tries to conceal the fact that he's softhearted in an attempt to act like how he's expected to). I really felt terrible that Amaro believed that he needed to change himself for others, and even worse when knowing that he came to that realization quite quickly.
Also, on a much more positive note, sea turtles are the best, and I'm glad Amaro likes them too c:
~Trompy - x2 Stubs
I really love the spin you took on when it came down to describing Coraline's personality; the interview was a cute and interesting take on explaining who Coraline truly is. Not only do we get to learn more about her directly through her answers, but we can also see how she acts when it comes to receiving said question. In addition, your coding is nicely done and very nicely organized; the art piece that you included is also quite lovely ^^
Skyler1515 - x2 Stubs
I really love how you compared Katrina's personality to a crab; it was a cute comparison, and it made complete sense after you fully explained it. I adore how you created bonds between her and your other viscets; it was really nice being able to read how she met her acquaintances and how she feels towards them.
I really like how expressive you got with your art and coding; they were certainly very nice additions to the form over all ^^
As there were two very close forms, and I mean VERY close, I have decided to give out one RU. I requested some help from a close friend of mine before I made a firm decision on who should be the absolute winner for this viscet. We spoke to each other for quite some time before we reached this decision. In all, it came down to how concise the form was, and how much development was presented.
If your username is listed here, please message me to claim your prize. You can either choose a RU design or 3 stubs; if you choose the stubs instead, please also message Razors to claim those stubs.
Runner Up wrote:HowlingtothestarsFirst things first; 40k+ words is nothing to sneeze at. I was amazed at how much you were able to get done within this month long time span, and I definitely applaud you for it.
Your writing is quite well done, and I love how in depth you went with it. It was neat to learn that Kona was originally a human girl who was later transformed into this legendary, immortal viscet. It was a twist that I didn't not expect for anyone to take on, so it was really fun to read through. I found it really difficult to pull myself away from reading through her story, and I spent all day reading through each and every piece of writing.
There were so many wondrous, and admittedly devastating, twist and turns featured all throughout Kona's life. I felt myself getting teary eyed at different parts of her story, especially when she had to take her own father's life to put his cruel ways to an end, or watch with much difficulty as a dear friend pass away from old age. The story you crafted for her was really an emotional roller coaster. In the end, I'm happy that she was able to find and accept herself, as well as being able to find acquaintances that she could peacefully coexist with!
The art that you included in your form was also very nicely done. The lineless style was beautiful, and the scenes that you depicted were excellently visually described. Both _Alex_'s and Bettalong's art was also wonderfully made as well. It help made the character come to life, for sure. The coding and presentation of your form was a bit complex in some parts. Nevertheless, it still was visually pleasing overall. The custom borders that you created helped the form flow quite nicely.
I would also like to note: Unfortunately it does appear that one of your writing pieces is locked ;;, I'm afraid that I wasn't able to access it, as the google docs link was not set to sharing, so I wasn't able to read that part of your form. The post with the locked document is
this one, and it is linked to the leftmost image.
Small note from the guest judge:
The descriptions for each topic that you've posted in your CS Forum were all excellent. You provided a bit more personality and made me feel like I understood the character a little bit with the little extras you've added in. For example: their Likes/Dislikes, Habits, Hobbies, etc. Whichever prize option you choose for the position you've been placed in, I hope you enjoy it!
If you plan on taking up the RU, please message me the following details:
1. 1 Event Rare Trait from the list below OR any 1 Rare Trait of your choice
(Choose from: Any of the 4 Elemental Ears, Ice Mane, Fire Mane, or Mist Mane)
2. 1 Roaming Rare Trait from the list below OR any 1 Rare Trait* of your choice
(Choose from: Petal Tufts, Finned Tufts, or Color Change Eyes)
3. Any 1 Uncommon Trait of your choice*
4. 1 Element of your choice
(Choose from: Fire, Water, Air, Nature)
*Uncommon/Rare Traits must be compatible with the Event Rare Trait that you chose, if you decide to choose one
And now, for the winner of viscet #1678:

Similar to Howling, 20k+ words is also nothing to laugh at. Your writing is phenomenal, and the character development Akela had gone through was absolutely amazing. Once again, it was difficult to pull myself away from reading through your form! I really love how your form was directly to the point in terms of explaining who Akela was.
The relationships presented in your form really did emphasize on how Akela furthered herself as a character. I really adored the relationship between her and Cyber's Obsidian, especially knowing the fact that she created him with her own two paws and powers. The deep bond that they shared with each other really emphasized how important he was to Akela, and it help expand upon her character even more. Likewise, her bond with her adopted daughter, and how she assumed both a motherly and teacher-like role for the viscling stood out to me too. Overall, all of the relationships you created for Akela appeared to be important to her, as explained by their roles in her story.
Speaking about the story, I love how there was so much progression within it. Seeing her start out from a tiny, frail viscling who was afraid of everything who then, much later, turned out to be an impressive Demi-God with elemental abilities was exciting from beginning to end. All of the trials, conflicts, and even self doubt she faced and overcame really added to her overall character. Reading through your form really made Akela feel as if she was slowly, but surely, coming to life.
The art and coding, while both weren't required at all, that you have present in your form are all wonderful and well done. Each piece appears to be carefully added onto your form, including the borders and dividers. I love how you created both animated and static pieces that represented Akela using her powers and abilities. The story driven pieces that you crafted also added so much depth; I love being able to visually picture different aspects of her life. The art you made was full of life and expressive emotion. Calix also did an impressive job on the one art piece at the end of the last story in your form. Your coding made your form easy to read while also giving it this almost magical appearance.
Small note from the guest judge:
Your form showed how much you truly cared for your character idea of Akela. Each section was organized and pleasing to the eye, which also made it a bit easier for me to read. Everything that you have written up for Akela related back to the important information of her and her story and that made me quite happy. I was happy to see that a majority of the art pieces were directly related back to Akela's story as well. The transitioning of each topic was smooth. Just reading through your form, I could see the careful consideration that you've put into building Akela's character and personality. Like I said, your form showed how much you love and care for the character Akela. I hope you enjoy the viscet and maybe further develop Akela, humerussin.
If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this judging, please feel free to message me as soon as possible.
Do note that I will be slightly busy on September 1st due to personal matters, so I apologize beforehand if my replies may be a little bit delayed.
Likewise, if you would like to know why you placed as you did, I am more than happy to explain my judgments and provide critique if requested. I have a bunch of notes written up about each of the forms submitted, as well as comments from the person who helped judged alongside with me (at least for the RU and winner positions).
Also, I cannot stress this enough: please be kind to your fellow community members, and follow the community's rules at all times.
I never have and I never will tolerate harassment or rude behavior of any kind, so please do your best to show good sportsmanship.
Thank you all, once again, for participating in this competition!
I hope you all had a fantastic summer, and I hope that you all have an amazing week ahead! I wish you the best of luck in any, and all, future contests you participate in ^o^

Be sure to pm me later the details when / if it's posted. ^^
