The crunching of leaves
After the leaves have begun to fall and dry up on the ground, a single footstep can cause them to crunch. Opal loves to be the footstep.
And the cool morning air
In the early mornings Opal wakes up to put on a sweater and take a walk around the neighborhood, reveling in the warmth that surrounds her from the sweater, and the chill on her face from the night and the breeze.
The smell of leaves fallen
The leaves that have fallen and begun to decompose,
the ones that lay wet in the gutter from the autumn rains,
carry a distinct smell that Opal loves. The dry ones,
sitting on the sidewalks when there hasn't been much
rain also have their smell, equally impressive to her.
and everything here
But truly there is not one things that makes autumn
better. Not to Opal at least, to Opal the things that
makes autumn the best is everything that makes it
autumn.

occupation;;
Opal works as a cook for a camp out in the country, rented often for religious camps or school groups who do sports. Whatever the camp, Opal is always happy to do the cooking for the week. The camp isn't usually rented every week, usually only once or twice a month until july-august when the sports camps start back up.
