Jules and Aiolos Davis' last batch is finally here!
tigressa and i decided that we'd let someone else in on this beloved family of ours,
so long story short-- this kit will be going UFA!

as the breeding was in canon, this kit will have to be connected to the Davis family,
and a large part of the contest revolves around relationships they have within the family!

the biggest and most important rule here is as follows:
Abusive relationships between the parents OR siblings are NOT allowed.
None of these characters are abusive, so please do not write them as such.

that being said, here are the other general rules of the competition:

- you must include this kit's relationship with both Aiolos and Jules (the parents)
- you also must include this kit's relationship with at least three of their siblings
- you may write relationships with all the siblings, but make sure you at least include three
- the minimum word limit is 100 words for every relationship; there is no maximum

- any and all extras are allowed and encouraged, but remember we will judge mainly on the relationships
- separate threads are allowed but please do not go off-site
- coding and prettying up your form is allowed

FAMILY INFORMATION

Jules Davis - father

As stoic as he tries to make himself seem, Jules really softened over time. Ever insistent on carrying the weight himself, he doesn't tend to show any strong negative emotions around the kids. Though his facade has slipped a few times, he has an impeccable record for not crying (there was only one instance; the night Raury slipped away). Of the two fathers, he is the one to set the rules; that is, if he's home. Jules dabbles in mountain photography. He disappears for sporadic periods of time to scale mountainsides to get the perfect shot. He calls almost every day to check up on things. Even on the other side of the world he'd still find a way to connect with his family. When he's home, he is the one keeping the kids in line though he dislikes how that probably makes him less likable (he makes up for that by occasionally spoiling them). He tries to be stern but not restrictive. His method of discipline tend to lean towards creating limits but still giving some room for the kids to learn for themselves. He won't hesitate to step in if he has to and is always a little hard on himself when he believes that a sticky situation could've been avoided. In his free time, he likes to take the kids out for hikes and camping trips, believing that the best way to learn is through experience.

Aiolos "Aio" Davis - father

Aio is a thief-turned-adventurer, who has spend most of his life living on the streets. From a young age he traveled the streets of Greece with no memory of his parents, growing up with nothing but a ratty satchel and his clever brain. He stole mostly what he could use to get by, including food and clothes, until one day he stole from the wrong kalon; Jules Davis. Although at first the two butted heads, they quickly grew fond of each other, and now Aio lives comfortably with Jules as his mate. Though he is still just as energetic, sneaky, and fun-loving as he was when he lived on the streets. He lives for thrills and exploration, and is constantly dragging the family out on adventures so local amusement parks and hiking trips. He can be rather childish, and Jules sometimes jokes that he is more like a brother to the kits than a father.

Egypt Davis - older brother

Egypt spends most of his young adult life partying, and maintains a carefree attitude almost constantly. Though he can be reckless, Egypt has a good heart, and wouldn't be caught dead putting his siblings in the danger that he often puts himself in. At night, he is often out clubbing or attending the street race competitions in the city, either to watch or to participate himself. He is a rather gifted artist, and works during the day as a tattoo artist in a small shop downtown. He and Aio act almost more like brothers than father and son, and Jules often brings Egypt along on his hiking treks on the weekends. Egypt has a particularly soft spot for newborn kits, and is ecstatic at the thought of babysitting his new siblings.

Ruben "Rue" Davis - older brother

Rue is first and foremost, selectively mute. This makes communication difficult but not impossible. He tries to be a solid shoulder to cry on and attentively listens to anything the kids say, regardless of how wild their claims tend to be. Quite frankly, Rue is terrified of the lil buggers, despite being a father himself. He assumes the babysitter role when Jules is away and very dutifully keeps his siblings in check. However, his greatest flaw is being a complete pushover so that opens up a world of possibility. He is typically all over the place, keeping them from endangering themselves or making messes.

Raury Davis - older brother

Raury got involved with local gangs at an early age, and by the time he was 17 he had ran away from home to join a large gang that he now leads. He leads a dangerous, dark, and mysterious life that the rest of the Davis family wants no part of. Recently, he and Egypt ran into each other at a bar in the city, leading to a violent altercation that sent the two of them to jail, although Egypt was quickly bailed out by Jules. This is the first and only time the Davis family has made contact with Raury since he ran away in high school. Raury is a rather cold in nature; intimidating and sharp-witted, the kind of kalon most would avoid, though he is incredibly protective and dedicated to his two mates, Mars and Jerome.

Dion Basil Davis - littermate

Dion is a total tomboy, who is always going on adventures in the woods and challenging their friends to dares that often end in scraped knees and scratched arms. They love sports--especially baseball and soccer, though their real love lies within motorcycles. Even though they're are still young, Jules has promised to buy them a motorcycle when they turn 16. Dion can be teasing toward their siblings, though mostly they mean well! When push comes to shove, there is no one youd rather have on your side; Dion is protective, influential, and charming in a way that allows them to stand out.

Felix Jude Davis - littermate

Felix is the kind of happy-go-lucky kit that anyone can get along with. He's always outside on his next big adventure; most times he finds himself deep in trouble (typically with neighbors) or dragging himself home covered in bruises and cuts. When he isnt outside, he's typically messing with his siblings by pulling pranks and otherwise playing around. He sees his parents as guiding forces in his life and listens to whatever advice they give. Whenever there is a family issue, Felix tries to block out what's happening. He is particular shaken by the situation with his older brother Raury, and feels hurt that the older male doesnt want anything to do with him, taking it rather personally, as he does with many events. Despite this, Felix is still cheeky and friendly.

Jace Davis - littermate

Jace is your average token golden child. Others would describe him as amicable and polite. He earns competitive grades and gets along with anyone, even picking up on some of their personality quirks to better understand them. He prides himself on his reputation, going out of his way to be seen in the best light. With his siblings, he has boundless enthusiasm and goes along with almost anything they can come up with but also doing damage-control. After all, their reputations affect his too. The only thing that really stands out is his fixation with the Justice Network. It would eventually affect his future in more ways than one. His other interests include surfing and skateboarding.

relationship with aio: Mason finds him to be kind of annoying, but he loves him nonetheless. He thinks that Aio is a bit excitable, and he finds the family adventures a waste of time, but he never says so. He usually humors him, whch makes Aio pretty happy. He sometimes goes along with it and ends up liking it, but usually he doesn't. He's a bit salty and impatient, so he sometimes snaps at Aio, which he instantly regrets.

brief personality:
she is named after the hindu goddess of destruction. of course, her fathers hadn't realized how convinient this name was for her; mara is a major pyromaniac. it all started with her simply dazzled by the flames in the fireplace of their home when she was younger, and it grew to playing with matches found in the master bedroom. at one point, mara accidentally set a curtain on fire and burned most of the items in her room -- but she didn't like them anyways, they were all girly and pink. as soon as that happened, her family then realized that she was as masculine and manly as the rest of them, even if she did have a woman's body.

relationship with jules:
to be honest, she isn't really sure how she feels about jules. of course, he makes a lot of rules and had to set up some rules about dealing with fire, which made her mad, but other than that they don't have very much interaction. mara knows that he'll get mad or upset easily if she does something wrong or breaks the rules, and sometimes that doesn't stop her. although, she enjoys going on hikes and camping trips with him, as it seems to always bring the whole family together; it also gives her an excuse to set fires (to stay warm of course!).

relationship with aiolos:
after burning many things, aiolos doesn't trust mara with fire, nor does he like her handling it -- no matter how well she's gotten at doing so over the years. although, her personality is similar to his, and she enjoys the thrill of life as well as adventures. too bad she destroys everything in her way when out exploring. aio thought that she'd be a calm and sensitive little girl, but she's really not. in fact, she grew up tougher than almost all of her brothers. aiolos and mara aren't exactly close, but she knows that she can always go to him for some fun.

relationship with egypt:
she is definitely one of egypt's favorite siblings, and he always seems to spoil her every chance he gets. although mara isn't old enough and doesn't show any signs of being a party animal, he'll often take her along to house parties just to give her a glimpse of what people are like. other times, he'll bring sweets or treats back from various parties and clubs. mara is also fascinated by his art, and she loves to watch him -- that's the only time that she'll ever sit still. one day, she hopes to get a tattoo or two (or more) from him once she's older.

relationship with ruben:
although ruben is mute, she still tries to engage in conversation with him and talks through all of her problems with him. though he never says anything, he usually seems to understand her, as he was once a child just like her. rue doesn't really like her littermates, but he's been warming up to mara just a little bit. they see him as a pushover, but she's respectful and aware of ruben unlike them. if he's babysitting and they don't listen to him, mara will step up; that usually includes her yelling at her siblings and ridiculing them on their horrible behavior.

relationship with raury:
she hasn't seen much of raury, but from what she's heard of him she admires him and wishes to have the same amount of courage as him. although he does seem harsh, mara is often susceptable to easy emotions and wants to live without having such feelings. of course, she does know that he does have two mates, and she somewhat believes in love as well. mara sees raury as fairly successful for being the leader of a gang and a bit of a sweetheart for having mates despite his tough exterior.
