☾ about me {extra}
Growing up in a small town, they told me that a should get a simple or easy job. Teacher, shopkeeper, doctor, etc. but I wanted to think outside the box. I wanted to be an astronomer. They ridiculed me and told me I shouldn't waste my life looking at the sky. Older people shunned me and told me I shouldn't be wasting my folk's money on something so wasteful. But I still had my heart set on being an astronomer. My parents stayed supportive of me even though they felt the same way everyone else felt. I studied in plenty of universities to get myself where I stand now and I've mapped and discovered over 100s of new stars, constellations, and planets. The sky is so beautiful at night with all the stars shining and the peacefulness of it all. The universe is full of boundless discoveries waiting to be made and there is still so much to learn. I sincerely hope, that when my time comes to an end, I will be able to witness all of its secrets and float among the stars and galaxies in serene and utter godly peace. ιи ѕριтє σf αℓℓ му fєαяѕ, ι ¢αи ѕєє ιт αℓℓ ѕσ ¢ℓєαя ι ѕєє ιт αℓℓ ѕσ ¢ℓєαя

I lay on the edge of the fallen tree jutting out
into the bay, feet skimming the smooth silky water.
I had hiked down a dangerously steep cliff to get
to the rocky deserted "beach", which was really
nothing more than a bunch of rocks, with some sand
here and there. Trees overlooked it, not really
making it a good place to sunbath, if you could even find
a wide enough piece of sand to put your towel on.
The place was also littered with glass, making
treading here barefoot a dangerous game.
Yet, still I enjoyed this crop of land very much, It was
quite the hike, but in my opinion worth it.
I nicknamed the strip of beach Vagabonds Alley,
much like myself. A vagabond seeking only a place of peace.

Log Entry #15.
It has been a fortnight since I left home. One would think, in that time, that the anxiety that
plagued me at the docks would abate but you would be wrong. The ship sails ever onward;
t’would seem the captain is quite exasperated with my questions and had all but banished me
to observe the goings on from the deck. Ornery lass that one, but she has proven to possess
knowledge that far outstrips mine so I will not quarrel with her over it. That besides, there is
more to see from the bow than the bridge. Where during the day there is rarely anything worth
observe – save the occasional dolphin pod, at night there is something truly resplendent
to behold. I find my eyes drifting ever heavenward in these cold hours of the night for above lies a
vale of diamonds unlike anything I could have ever hoped to see from the city. It is like all my
name day’s come at once, that is the awe I feel when gazing into the star-strewn twilight, glinting
merrily regardless of my homesickness or fatigue. The wants of mortal men become so
inconsequential that twice now I have nearly caught my death of cold in my distraction. A rather
poor end to a cartographer indeed, but there is no finer sight that I have encountered that would
make this not worth the risk. I rue the day when the lights of the city-state dim these beautiful
stars and the bustle drowns out the sea’s mystical aria. Alas, London awaits…
