there comes a time in the day where the sun hangs unforgivingly in the summer's horizon. She looks down upon the earth in an unflinching manner, refusing to retreat. All forms of life seem to have difficulty existing in the hazy hour, and oddly enough, Meredith adores this point. The congregation always gathers by the water's edge and children slip into the cool streams, and out comes Mer's strings. Banjo, guitar, and ukelele being her favorite, she performs on the bank as kids gawk and giggle. Meredith's heart is in her music and to share it brings her such a euphoric joy. Memories always seem better to music and the young woman always wants to remain part of her campers' memories.

the serene lake began to stir as the campers jumped into its depths. fear was no where to be found, i loved the lake, swimming was my favorite activity. I peered down beyond the waters surface, i could see thousand of ragged rocks, tiny scaly fish and a mysterious black figure. it glared at me as i glared back at it, the lake water made my fragile eyes burn. it wasn't scared neither was i, it swam away from me towards the deep end. i held my breath and tried my best to follow it. it was very fast but I was even faster, but unfortunately i couldn't hold my breath as long as it could. i could feel everything get fuzzy as I got closer to the creature, my lungs hurt and everything began to fade to black. i couldn't resurface without losing sight of the beast and i refused to give up. i didn't lose consciousness as I opened my mouth and welcomed the water in, the fear of drowning began to embrace me as the water penetrated my lungs. the black creature came back as it noticed I was drowning and lifted me out of the water. i could only see two scaly black arms, water spilled out of my mouth as I coughed. it pulled me back into the water as it took me over to the lake side. i had a coughing fit as the water poured out of my mouth once more, the thing popped its head out of the water. she smiled and asked why i followed them. i shook my head and laughed, i held out a hand and it shook it. we became girlfriends shortly after. i went around the lake to where the other campers were. the counselors werent worried.
