Günther is a very playful boy. He is not very talkative, but instead shows his affection through his actions; the more he teases you, the more he likes you. He does playful nips, and also poke at others' feet using his horns. Sometimes, he even barrels down from afar, horns aimed at his 'target', signalling the start of a play fight (but he always stops short right in front of his 'target'). However, many do not understand his intentions, and often misunderstand that he is being very mean. Because of this, the other Dik-Diks don't really hang out around him as they do not know how to respond to his abundant energy level. As for Günther, he doesn't understand their actions as well, so he continues doing what he does, and ends up playing by himself.







Charon is Günther's little companion. They met one day when Günther wandered a wee bit too far into the forest while playing. Like Günther, Charon is also a lone ranger, but not by choice. He got lost when his owner released him for a fly, but he never heard from his owner again. Whether his owner even tried to look for him, Charon would never know, but he did his best to survive in the forest. Having found a new friend that he can trust not to gobble him up, Charon stayed by Günther's side.





They play together, and explore places together. But Charon is Günther's little guardian. He looks after the ball of energy as his own son, because he understands how Günther feels about always being alone, even though it doesn't look as if it affects him at all. Charon acts as Günther's second pair of eyes, always alert for any sign of danger. He also reminds Günther not to wander too far off from the herd, and always guides him back to the safety of home when it was time to rest. The two are inseparable.
