nellie loves the beginning of autumn as it also marks the start of the school year. this is not to say she is a star student - not in the least. despite being a complete slacker in every aspect of academics, nellie loves going back to school to see her oddball group of friends. she believes there's something magical about in-school friends that just doesn't transfer outside of the schoolyard. so, when school begins this year, nellie will be eager to open the gates and meet her friends inside (even if it means she'll be cutting a class or two)! {99/200}

The girl, know for her blue barrettes and booming enthusiasm, ran outside her house, her smile big and broad on her face. She ran past all the other grumpy looking kids and ran into the... school?

"Oh that's Harper, she's always excited for school. Can't tell you why though." Said one Kal, who was also on his way to school but looked very bored.

"Well, you see, at home, I get bored a lot. My parents are always working, and I have nothing to do. Homework gave me something to do, and we had it everyday. So I learned to love it and to want it. Now I just can't wait to go back to school and have some more!" Harper explained, before the teacher walked in.

valkyrie isn't one who is normally excited to go to school.. but however, he was. valkyire dropped out of school just by the early age of fifteen, once his mother started becoming very ill and nobody else was there to help her, besides her son. he thought, it would've been for the best to drop out and spend all of his time worrying about his very sick mother, rather than stressing about school and grades. however, his mother eventually got better and forced him to go back to school, but he was now eighteen going into ninth grade. luckily, his mother allowed him to take online schooling, which is still quite a pain and he's not ready to go back quite yet. the boy has always hated school, not the learning factor - he absolutely loved learning! what annoyed him is that most of the stuff they taught was either stuff he already knew (yet, he never bothered to do his homework since he found it "time-consuming nonsense") or stuff that he'd never need in his later life. and most of the teachers he could never stand, but he figured doing it online would perhaps be a little bit better.

Are they happy to go back to school? Why or why not? ;; [200 words max] He isn't very happy about going back to school because of all the studying, homework, and schoolwork. Also, having to do homework while he has to go do basketball after school is such a pain. To point out, he is not the best at memorizing which is why some of his grades my go downhill, but he still tries his best which is why he does not have a C average. He hates carrying his binders back and forth from his locker to his classes (they are just SO HEAVY). And when studying, it causes so much stress when thinking about what your grade will be. These are the reasons why he doesn't want to go back to school and why he's not happy about going to school.

Are they happy to go back to school? Why or why not? ;; Yes and no. He loves seeing his friends at school and learning new subjects, but there are some problems. He loves his teachers, but they just can't seem to control his classmates at all. Threatens to send them out if they get rowdy, they get rowdy, don't get sent out. The school food could be better, but hey, it's school food. No matter where you go, the food probably won't be good. Math class can be hard to understand, and science loves to throw all sorts of crazy words at him, but otherwise, he is excited to go back to school. He finally gets to see his friend Cassius again! After a whole summer of only texting due to him being in England, he was finally coming back to the states. 131 words

It's so interesting to look at all of the designs for pencil cases, pens, and more! She is also looking forward to seeing her best friend, Poppy! Those two get on like a house on fire! Poppy's intellectual and quiet nature go very well with [placeholder]'s brash impulsiveness. They've been friends for years! However, she's not looking forward to seeing the teachers - they seem to not like her, and are shocked to find that she and Poppy are best friends. But, the friendly classmates balance it out nicely.
