destruction of the life I known
the places I used to call home
now a bleak unknown

my heart died awhile back
but I'm trying to restart
to get back on track

whats the point anymore
my bones are sore
I'm affected to the core

trying to dry the tears
to erase my fears
but my fate is set

I'm shrinking
the walls are growing higher
I've been taken from my fire

digging deeper into despair

The ink drips onto the paper as I scribble down my name, shaky and slanted. I remember when my writing was neat and straight. Ha! A memory. Something that doesn't happen too often anymore. The quill falls from my hands at the sound of footsteps and I shrink back into the corners of my damp cell. A light draws closer as the only sound is the echoing footsteps against the dark slimy walls. There's a pause as whoever they are stops at my cell before moving on. A sigh of relief escapes me as I scramble back to my paper, snatching it up and sealing it carefully with an old piece of string. A hole is hidden in my little corner of the cell, just enough for a bird to fit through. Percy, the dove I befriended watches me expectantly as I tie the letter to his leg. "I don't care where this goes." I inform him. "As long as it gets to someone." Then he is off, into the unknown I'm craving so bad. I try to squeeze through one last time, only to reopen my wounds. I let out a cry of pain and sorrow. Even if I do get out of here, I'll never be the same. So I get lost in my own howling throughout the night, listening to other creatures joining in. I tuck the memory deep in my heart come morning because I'm afraid I'm about to shed the last bit of hope and love I have.

The worst thing that could happen to any one is being unloved. "When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on it."
The biggest lie any one can tell you is " No one even cares."
But for this viscet, these words were true. Him versus the cruel world. He didn't choose to live on the streets for his entire life. He's hurting on the inside, ever since he was thrown out as a child by his own parents. In order to survive, he is forced to steal and beg. Subhuman treatment causes this viscet to be ferocious. "It won't matter if i step off..?"But when he wanted to jump off a bridge, someone grabbed him. "For I am simply an unloved child."
