What do they do to help wildlife?;;
- Morning -
Nemo was upset at the recent development on the news. First of all, the wild backyards of his home were being bought up, and second, all of the wildlife there was going to be kicked out for a mall. Really, a
mall? Of all the things you could destroy wildlife area for, a mall? Why not a medical research center, a park, an orphanage maybe? Looks like the buyers had other plans. He always remembered seeing the deer racing through the swamp lands, alligators peaking their heads up, ducks and geese flying overhead. Sure, the mosquitoes were bad, and it got hot and muggy in summer; but he still loved seeing the starry night at sky and hearing the bird calls. Everything that area had to offer just pulled at his heart and filled it with a strange feeling. You would have to be a liar if you said the area was nasty and terrible, or one of those old high class, "ladies", you see in the movies. Sure some of parts of it sucked and the mud was terrible, but to really destroy the area? Nemo was sad about this, but what could he do? He was barely making enough money to buy any land, and he doubted a letter from some nobody redneck would change a big CEO's heart about this. Just another day he guessed.
- Midday -
As he stared at the lottery ticket machine with a 20 in his head, he pondered what in the world motivated him to get one. Every time he had gotten one he never got anything back. He may as well just had thrown his money in a fire with how it worked out. But, as he was sighing, he had already bought one. This one had a big reward if you won, and I mean a BIG one too, more than usual. As he walked outside with his groceries, he spotted some ducks flying overhead, and thought back to the news he heard at breakfast. If he won the money, could he out-buy the CEO's? Would he even do that? He really needed the money for food, not buying and preserving wildlife. Why was he even thinking about this? What would he even do with the area? He sat in his car contemplating, staring at the ticket resting in his lap. He had already bought the ticket, and hopes of winning were a fools dream. But, if he was already a fool for buying it, may as well keep dreaming. Maybe he could open up a park?
That would sure be nice, he thought while he driving home.
- Afternoon -
What. What. How. I must be dreaming, he thought. Staring at the TV, he looked down at the ticket in his shaking hand. 23, 38, 31, 25, 33, 11. Just what the lady was saying on the show. He had won. He had won. He had won the lottery for 100 million.
What. How. He had just come from a struggling bachelor living in a tailor park to a millionaire. He had to be dreaming, there was no way his life was this wonderful. There was no way he had won. But he had, a part of his brain whispered to him while his heart beat like a rabbit's. He had won, and his life was turning around. He was no longer broke and borrowing money. He was the one on top now. And only because he had gone through with being a fool and buying a lottery ticket.
Lady luck must sure be on my side, he thought, going into the store to collect the money.

Building a park is harder than I thought... Nemo was watching the men he had hired build walk boards and hull machines over, helping to build his park. He had successfully bought the land, and was now on the process of building trails, setting down benches, putting up informative signs. He was doing even more, and had poured almost all of his lottery money into this. He had done so much research, he had even put up duck food vending machines, since he had learned bread was bad for them and didn't want the ducks to get sick due to an ignorant public. And the signs! He had put up signs about species, land history, how the wildlife acted in this season around this area and that area, boy, he had so much to do! He was almost done, but still had many projects to complete. He wanted to hire staff to watch the area, clean it up, and offer classes to the public about wildlife and how to take care of yourself in the wilderness as well as the land and animals. He was going to do his best in this project. He wasn't going anywhere before winning the lottery, barely holding down a job and steady income. His schooling wasn't even complete either, and there was no way he could keep paying for it. He wanted to do something with his life, and if that meant building a park, then so be it.
- 2 years later... -
Nemo smiled at the kids around him, happy and content. He was giving them a lesson about one of the bird species around here, and how it affected the ecosystem around it and some of it's habits as well. He had done it. He had completed the park, and was fulfilling his dream. As he smiled at the littlest one, an energetic girl named Lucy, he knew he had made it. He was living his fool's dream he had thought of all those years ago.
Art in thing.
