Omg! Now that I realise that it's a Van Gough dog I HAVE to hoard it. Like, you don't even know. (When I was little I saved all my money and told my mom I was saving to but Starry Night) I freaking swear. This is so amazing.

I would hold off on that until they grow, the artist has not said they are based on Van Gogh, it's just speculation at this point and if you do hoard them early and they turnout to be something entirely different you're probably going to be pretty disappointed.

On a side note I honestly don't see much resemblance to Van Gogh besides the "moon" on the blanket, the colors are too bright for me, and the distinctive paint pattern is not there. Plus I don't think Gogh ever drew anything with lightning in it (which is what some of those lines appear to be.

If they are based on Van Gogh's works, I would expect to see paint strokes like this (coincidentally the horse is based on Starry Night)

But in all seriousness, I think I have to agree with you. The colors are just too off in my opinion and you're totally right about the lightning. I think it's more likely that the dogs are based off of maybe weird weather or something? I doubt I'm anywhere near right but hey- it's a shot.

usually they are on the bottom of my list, but i just can't get over these beauties :*

Looks like the foxes will be time of day theme. Sunset and evening so far.

I don't think we've had foxes with that theme yet so if I'm right it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
