What are Hyens? wrote:Found all across the world, Hyens are palm-sized pets that resemble all kinds of drinks both with their 'shells' and their smell! They're docile creatures who appear to be similar to dogs, but a little slimier. They love company and often try to interact with anything they find in their way.

i'm so in love with this design aaa!! they are rare due to the floating petals in their drink <3

name: mala - means flower
gender: female
where did they get the petals?: mala's a city hyen - a fact that annoys her very much. She would much rather be out in the countryside, amongst meadows and orchards and nature, simply enjoying the beauty around her. So when she stumbled across a roadside florist one day - well, heaven on earth would be one way to describe it.
The shopkeeper, a friendly old lady, soon discovered mala nestled happily amongst a bouquet of the most beautiful roses; and she didn't have the heart to take the small creature out of her shop. Mala has become the lady's unofficial pet- she's allowed to come and go as she pleases, although ninety-nine percent of the time you'll find her in the shop. As for the petals, the lady soon caught on to Mala's extreme love of flowers, and gathered up some fallen petals for the hyen to decorate herself with. Now, Mala's never seen without petals in her tea and wreaths on her head, causing the shopkeeper to give her the name she still wears today - mala, flower, in honor of the great spirit of nature that was within the small hyen.

name: Pema
gender: Female
where did they get the petals?:
Petals rained down on Pema when she first met the monkey. There was a chorus of shrieks and then silence. Lying sprawled on the ground, the monkey was face to face with Pema. His hair was tawny coloured and had a slightly blue face. He was much smaller than the other monkeys as one separated from the band and carried him back up who sparred no glance for Pema.

She didn't expect to see the monkey again, but as luck had it her human friend wanted to explore the area a bit longer. She was left to her own devices with nothing but a sack of berries to fight off hunger. The monkey fell out of the tree once again and was just as blue faced.

Do you want some berries? went unsaid as Pema opened the bag so the monkey could take the fruits. He was cautious at first, eating them one by one, but soon swiped the berries greedily. He gave a toothy smile and nimbly climbed the tree. The monkey dropped down with much more grace and dusted Pema along with the forest floor with white and pink petals. He placed a peach in front of her and looked at her expectantly.

Pema nibbled on the fruits and it sealed their new friendship as the monkey jumped around with glee.

Thus the petals were a lovely reminder of her monkey friend who would give her peaches in return for berries.
