"I think we're running low on food," Rhea spoke calmly as she checked their bag all over, "or.. we don't have any at all, Li!"
"What do you suppose we do?" He shrugged as the party of two continued walking around the beautiful Crystal Cove. "If we're so low on food, then what are we going to eat? Ree, we can't starve." He sighed as he plopped down next to a lake. There were so many of them in the Cove, which made an idea pop into Li's head. "Hey, maybe we can fish! There's gotta be fish around here somewhere, right?"
"I hate fishing," She almost gagged just by the sound of the word because she absolutely despised it. "Do you have any rods I guess?" She asked and Li-Wei started looking around in his bag for a fishing rod. He pulled one out, but only had one and couldn't find another one. "Shoot. Guess I can't fishhh!" She cheered happily, but Li shook his head.
"Here, you take the rod." He said, handing it over to Rhea. She rolled her eyes dramatically but the male kalon paid no attention. "I'll go to the other lake across from here, which isn't that far away, so you know where I am. I guess I'll try and get the fish out of the water.. with my bare hands."
"That's never going to work!" Rhea cried out.
"Would you rather do it?" He sneered, walking over to the other nearby lake.

Prompt Fourteen Featuring ;; Link
Link looked around in search for his partner who seemed to have wondered off. “Sunset? Where in the world did you go?” The kal searched the ground in search of any possible tracks that could’ve been left, but alas there were none to be see. He would’ve continued to search if his stomach wasn’t talking to him. He closed his eyes to listen to the world around him. His left ear raised as it caught hold of a nearby stream. Link hadn’t gone fishing in years, but he wasn’t going to let his hunger distract him from his main objective, but it doesn’t hurt to participate in a side quest.
Link sniffed his way to the nearby river and nearly lost his cool. His feral instincts started to kick in as he began to growl, unleashing his claws. It had been a while since he had come into contact with a civilized town. The hero rolled up his tunic sleeves and his pants and crawled into the water waiting for a few fish to come by. He stood there for a moment waiting while his stomach growled even more. He closed his eyes nearly asleep until suddenly a rather small fish swam by. Link licked his lips a bit and pounced in the water, missing the fish by an inch. The creature hoped out of the water and smacked his face with his fin as if it was mimicking his failure before swimming off. Link raised his head as he rubbed his cheek, watching the creature swim away. “Pfft whatever! Fish is overrated anyways…”

Prompt 14
Erebus & Janus
Their food was running low and cave didn't really seem like the place to hunt or forage. The beautiful walls of crystals housed a few small lizards but nothing large enough to be worth catching. Thinking about what they could do his thoughts were interrupted by Janus shaking his shoulder "I found some fish." Perking up Erebus smiled "You did?" This was some good new now all they needed was "Yeah give me your cape."
....."what?"
"Well we don't have fishing rods. Your cape can work like a net!" It was true but he still passed it over with a frown "Try not to rip it at least..."
In the stream they stood as still as possible until a shimmer of scales swam over the cloth. Jerking the cape upwards they launched the fish onto land. Excited they retrieved its flashy and.. "Janus no offense but." Lifting its crystallized body their mood fell "How are we supposed to eat this?"

"fishing with friends"
"uh oh."
those two very words rang through the kalon's fluffy ears. "what's wrong?" asked shelbie, worry lacing her voice. kyrou lifted his head from the inside of his bag. "we have no more food left!"
"huh... i guess those fruits couldn't have last us forever. now what? are there like... berries or something here in the crystal coves?" asked shelbie. cain gave her a quizzical look. "what do you mean? are you like actually joking or-" cain stopped mid-sentence when shelbie glared at him. "why would i be joking in a situation like this? where would we be able to find food?" she argued. cain shrugged. "i mean, there's a huge lake here, ane many other bodies of water here. so i mean, like, we could go fishing," he suggested. the female released a huge sigh. "i was hoping you wouldn't say that..." she mumbled, crossing her arms. kyrou tilted his head. "how come?" shelbie scrunched up her face in disgust. "i really, really don't like fish..." the blue-eyed kalon whimpered quietly. cain scoffed. "you don't have to eat the fish if you don't want to. we'll just let you starve while me and kyrou dine with the freshest fish in all of the crystal coves!" shelbie drew her lips back, frustrated. "fine. do whatever you want, go fishing. i'm not even that hungry.
and so they did. the three kalons weren't about to strangle the fish with their bare paws- they weren't wild animals. well, they kind of were at times. but they did have the materials to make a fishing rod, why not increase their crafting skills while they were at it? they grabbed some rope they had packed since the beginning and a couple of sticks they found laying around and attached them together to create a makeshift fishing rod. as far as they can see, there were no worms. so they decided to use their last piece of jerky as bait. now it was time for the waiting game.
at first there were no fish to be seen, but they soon spotted a few fishes swimming around curiously, causing ripples to occur in the waters. kyrou waited, and felt a slight tug at his pole. he waited a few more seconds more and harshly pulled his rod out the water, reeling in the fish he had scored. cain, on the other hand, was too impatient for a relaxing hobby like fishing. when he felt the slightest pull, cain pulled his rod out of the waters too soon, causing the fish to be startled and dart away hastily. however, with kyrou's help, their stack of fish gradually became larger.
