Jia-Ae's eyes widen in awe at the sight before him as he steps into a new land. Through the journey since his night at the pavilion, Jia-Ae has met many people and seen many lands so far, from the plain old (not really plain) forest, to the hot lavalands, to this beautiful land.

Crystals sparkled everywhere and shone through Jia-Ae's eyes as he looked around, standing there in a still motion without so much as a single muscles twitch. He gulps and bites his lip as he looks around, heading over to a crystal and putting a hand on it, feeling the smooth rigidness beneath his fingertips as he walks around the entrance of the land.

Would there be a crystal in a crystal lands? Everything seemed to glow, would there be something like that of before? Or would he be met with nothing to find this time? What hid in these crystals even?

how does your hero feel about it?

"wow," william murmured, his head tilted straight up as he looked at the ceiling of the cavern
they'd entered, crystals shimmering and casting a dull glow over the whole cave. "this is much
better than volcanoes, don'tcha think?" the fire chicken peeped in agreement, his tiny head
bobbing slightly. "see? lettuce agrees."

"these are some weird gems," lawrence piped up, where he was crouched against the dirt with
a hand resting on a white crystal. "look at them! they're like nothing i've ever seen!"

"seen?" francis asked, amusement in his tone. "the only things you've ever 'seen' are things that
you read about, law."

"okay, true," lawrence conceded, frowning. "but still." he braced a foot against the wall, and
wrapped his hands around the crystal. he tugged experimentally, then, with a shrug, yanked
backwards - but the gem didn't budge. lawrence let out a squawk as his hands slipped, sending
him tumbling into a backwards-somersault across the dirty floor.

"blech!" he sat up, wiping dirt off the front of his shirt. he shot a glare at both francis and
william, who were stifling giggles - even the chicken seemed to be laughing at lawrence. "shut
up," he grumbled, standing and marching off into a tunnel. "are you guys coming, or not?"

trading another amused look, francis and william trailed after lawrence, into the deep, dark,
crystal caverns that held many untold secrets.

day 13
indent as i stepped into the shimmering crystal cave, i couldn't stop myself from standing to stare at the sheer beauty. the faintly glowing rainbow crystals growing everywhere and anywhere, the occasional patch of the highest grade of amethyst, the soothing sound of a pale blue stream. but by far, the best part was that is was cold! the perfect temperature for a canadian, though not for corncob the fire chicken. the poor thing was just about shivering to death. seeing his clear discomfort, i set my feathery friend into the fluffy haven of my neck. i felt him burrowing deeper into the warm & soft mess that was my neck fur as i wandered along the little creek. i didn't have any particular route in mind, just figuring the water would likely lead to the respective crystal. it was the last one i needed to find before setting off towards the palace. i felt a little sad about this; it would be the last time i saw the bright beacon of light leading to a crystal, the last time i would experience that mad dash of energy and it's proceeding feeling of flying from running so quickly my vision blurred and warped. though, considering what happened with the flame crystal, that might be for the best. but only time will tell what will happen this time.

Advance into the new world.. Dexter, Vincent, and Alex!

Alex, a connoisseur of colorful fashion and decor was astounded by the beauty of the new landscape. All the new stimulus excited him and brightened his spirits even more. Now that it was cool, he could shut off the air conditioning in his suit. He even took off his colored goggles to get a better look of all the colors.
Vincent wasn't affected much by the rainbow crystalline structures.
"Just another random thing. Except now it's those bright colors I don't care for." Vincent scoffed. He crossed his arms and trudged forward, hoping the adventure would become more exciting and dangerous. Dexter was impressed by the cave. Its interesting and comfortable space was a treat for him. However, he had to keep his guard up as he walked through all the eye-catching sparkly paths. Never knew what could crawl out of a crevice. Dexter preferred to feel and learn about his surroundings before just running through them. How did the ground feel? Were there any hiding places or exits? He analyzed everything to the best of his ability, making mental notes.
As usual, Alex jumped ahead of everyone. Always diving headfirst into everything haphazardly. A most impulsive kalon. Vincent wanted to join him this time, for the sheer thrill of it. He was so bored of backing up Alex, but it might be fun to be a leader.

Could there be two leaders? Alex was so competitive about everything! Vincent's desire to do things made Alex feel compelled to outdo anything Vincent would do and think of things he felt Vincent would never dare to. Alex didn't really know Vincent, though. There's a lot to learn about him...

From perspective of Camille

These caves are my heaven. I am in heaven. All I can do is stare at the endless miles of untold value. Mouth agape, I scrambled to break of some precious gems and shove them in my bag. Dominque was busy fussing about how they could find the element crystal out of all of these rich. Finn was pretending to listen to her, leaving the door wide open for my future rent payment.
"Camille! What are you doing - Were supposed to find the element crystal, not steal them!"
I slowly turned around, not needing to look to know there was a furious Dominque right there.
I sighed and dropped the contents in my paws, praying she wouldn't check my bag. I don't have a job, gotta make a living somehow. This hefty amount should last me quite a while, and I won't have to risk pick-pocketing on the streets. Dominique walked forward to venture to the deeper depths of the cavern, not that fazed by my little stunt. After all we seen on this journey, It was hard not to get used to the smaller extremes.

The team walks into the crystal cove and Nerim's eyes light up at the sight. The crystals shimmer like water under the sun. "This is amazing. It's not hot or storming...but what kind of monsters are here....I hope they're cute," he says.

"We need to keep our guard up. I don't trust this place, there are lots of different places the monsters can hide," Sozen replies. He trusts his gut and is too stubborn to have his opinion change so there was no use in trying to persuade him. Faerie stays quiet due to her fear of small places. She looks at her bow and then looks down at the ground. She's not sure how she'll perform in this area, with all the obstacles and her own fear.

Sozen notices Faerie and how uncomfortable she is and rests a hand on her shoulder. "You'll do fine. I trust you. You're an amazing archer, don't let this keep you down." Faerie's eyes brighten at his words. He may seem distant but he truly cares for his team, for his friends, and knows exactly what to say. He walks further into the cove and his team follows closely.

The trio stared in awe as the seemingly unending sprawl of crystals stretched out before them. They walked onwards into the untraveled terrain, feeling the ground under their feet cool in comparison to the heat of the lava lands. They saw the water so clean and pure that it seemed to glow a dull blue, casting reflections which danced along the cave ceiling-- the shimmering surface cascaded in ripples and small waves, the source of which could not be seen. The found their footing easier and the steps fell neatly one after the other as they all gawked at their surroundings, their breath stolen by the simple beauty of it.

"Woah..." Abacus spoke aloud, his voice louder than he intended. It bounced off the ceiling of the place and echoed out throughout the entire area. The sheer magnitude of the echo only further emphasized the colossal size of this place. "Where are we?" He asked, this time more quietly as if to avoid casting another sonic-boom echo.

"The Crystal Caves, I believe." Elizabeth whispered a reply. As they walked onwards they found the beginnings of a common area-- merchants and settlers alike seemed to have gathered conveniently in a common area. And so, their quests here begin.

Featuring: Azrael + Hera

After partying all night the two heroes left the hotlands for the next land. The pair traveled for hours but couldn't help but feel relieved when they felt some fresh, clean, cool air. Azrael took a deep breath and let out a sigh. Hera silently agreed that this felt… Nice. They followed the other travelers to what seemed like a cave. The pair didn't know how to really feel about this but they had come too far now to back out! When they stumbled upon the crystal land, Hera let out a loud gasp as she ran over to stare at the crystals. It looked so beautiful! Azrael also was wandering around and stared at his own reflection. “This place seems almost too peaceful, don't you think?” He asked as he glanced at Hera. She was picking up little crystal bits and putting them in a jar and stuffing it back in her bag. Hera stood up and nodded her head a bit. “Yeah, seems like it's too nice to be true.” She told him as the pair wandered deeper and deeper into the cave. “You have to admit though, this is really nice.” She said happily as she looked at Azrael. He also seemed to like the idea of staying here for awhile. “Yeah.” He nodded his head. After a few hours of exploring the place the 2 made camp and decided to rest by the pond so that way they could fill up on their water supply and maybe wash off all of that smoke that covered their bodies.

the trio uneasily entered the dark cave. it was almost nightfall, and they currently had nowhere to stay. so, this cave was the best option for shelter.

looking around, carter bumped into a large structure. "it's some sort of... rock..." he felt around in the darkness. a large hole in the roof of the cave remained unseen, until the setting sun casted a warm glow into the cavern.

at once the tall crystals scattered around began to glow, revealing a large pool of crystal clear water and small shops in the area. there was life scuttling around the water, some drinking and some just sitting there. there was an aura of peace in this place. untouched by the plague.

"spacious, yet cozy." myrtle admired. she looked over at leo and carter, who were staring at her. "what??"

they shook their heads and slowly walked further towards the pond, and admired the gorgeous scenery.

The first thing jae-sung does as he walks into the crystal cove, is approach one of the many colorful crystals that decorated the place. It was a nice sight to say the least- very pleasing to the eyes in a brightly shining sort of fashion. Because it was an entire land full of crystals, of course jae-sung's eyes widened like moons as he looked around, eager to do a bit of exploring.

His heart jumps in his throat a little bit as he walks close to the many crystals and picks one up from the ground, a small broken piece that laid to the side. Quickly, he stashes it away into his bag and looks around to see if anyone else had seen him do so. Would anyone care if he took a crystal or two? Clearly not, when there was a lot already, right? Would they care if he tried to sell them later?
