Featuring Eden and Calypso

"Yah!" Calypso swung at the great beast ahead of her with her. It was the size of an elk, but definitely was much scarier than one. With black fur and glowing purple eyes, this monster was something Calypso dreaded to see. She was done running, and finally had conjured up the bravery to fight it. Shockingly enough, it turned and raced away as soon as she struck it with her dagger.

Eden looked impressed. "Nice, man!"

"I'm not letting it go." That was surprising, even for her. Calypso usually was passive, and she found herself shocked by her own words. Without another thought, the kalon raced after the smoky black creature.

"Wait, you're serious?" Eden's mouth just about dropped, as she bolted after her friend.

It wasn't very long before the monster lead them into some sort of cave...no, that wasn't it. It was a labyrinth of some kind. They walked down stairs into complete darkness, and Calypso couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the forest held.

She traced down the steps into the darkness, and was greeted by a hearty red glow. Her mouth dropped. This was it. Another gem. "EDEN!" she gasped, "Look!"

Eden grabbed the stone. "There's no way it's unguarded. Run!" As soon as the words exited her lips, the floor shook, and hundreds of those elk sized monsters appeared from what looked like thin air, and began to chase them.

The kalons booked it from there; racing, running, to the place where that gem belonged. Not knowing how long it would take, they ran, and they would not stop until they made it safely.

Prompt 8

The heroes managed to make it to the opposite edge of the forest before realizing they need to locate the second crystal. Sozen takes out the map from his pack and looks over it intensely. He runs his finger over the area he assumes they roamed, in the forest you don't know where you could be, and slumps his shoulders.

"I'm not sure we can find it if it's in the forest," he outlines the forest on the map, showing how large it is. "It 's way too big, we could never explore this whole place thoroughly."

Nerim rests a hand on Sozen's shoulder, "What if we split up and run around the forest? Maybe then we can find it faster."

"It's dangerous in there. If we find another creepy monster, who knows if we could beat it alone," Sozen replies.

"We can shoot magic into the air if we find something or get into some trouble, that would work wouldn't it?"

Sozen sighs, "It's not worth it, Ner. We just have to give up"

Nerim yells at Sozen, "NO! We aren't giving up. You wanted to do this for the sake of our people. We aren't going to give up yet!" He goes over to a tree and begins to climb up it. The further he climbs, the more he's hidden by the tree's leaves.

He makes it to the top, only to see the glow concentrated greatly to one spot. He looks up in that direction and sees the crystal they want floating above it.

"GUYS! SOZEN. FAERIE. I found the crystal! It's close by, we can go get it!" he yells down to them. "Follow me!" He begins to fun across the treetops, towards the crystal, with his friends following behind.

prompt!! using molly!

molly grumbled as she padded through the windy terrain, the cracking of dead plants under her paws. she could barely see as she walked through the wheat field. she was tired, and wanted to just rest. she continued walking, her mind beginning to wander, and she daydreamed about her cat back at home, her mother, her father, her sisters, and her brothers. she just wanted to be home, but she had been chosen as the villages potion apprentice, and now she needed to venture to find the needed ingredients, and to assist at more villages.

she yowled when her paw slammed into something hard, and she turned around, noticing a rather odd shaped hole with stones surrounding the edges. she curiously sniffed around it, before her paws slipped, and she went tumbling down.

she had no idea how long she was asleep, but when she awoke she was in a cave. it was humid, and she could hear something breathing. she turned around in fear to see a giant dragon, and behind him a crystal.

Aeryn: Now tell me Snow, where exactly did you found this map?
Snow: I bought it, before we left the village.
Aeryn: And your only telling us NOW?
Snow: Well yea, i thought it was irrelevant to bring it up?
Sam: Okay okay, it doesn't matter now does it? Let's find that crystal and get away from this forest shall we?
Aeryn: Oh yes, definetily. Well, we'll follow your lead Snow.
They followed a way trought the dark forest but they've seemed
to already got used to the darkness, they've walked for not that long
and found a cave that mostly looked like a dungeon, it's entrance had
a big gate but it was open, you could barely see what was inside
the cave, has long as they've stared at the cave the cave seemed
to get darker and darker.

Aeryn: So, this is the place that your trusthfull map lead us too?
Sure seems safe to me.
Sam: Seems pretty safe to me.
Asami felt proud of her joke but Aeryn wasn't laughing.
Snow: Oh well, if you have any other plan feel free to share m'lady.
Sam: What are you all waiting for, i'm not just gonna stand here, are ya'll comin' or..?
Aeryn and Snow then followed Asami to the entrace of the
cave, Aeryn was quite confused to why there are gates in a cave entrace
but she forget it quickly, the cave is full of small entraces and tiny
hallways but they kept going anyway until they saw a door.
Aeryn: Is it closed?
Snow went close to the door and got an axe that he brought and hit the door violently.
Snow: Not anymore.
The room was small with a fancy table on the center, once they were all in
they've heard a big noise at the start of the cave, Aeryn realised, it was
the gate. The gate closed with they all in.
Sam: Oooh, what was that sound..?
Aeryn: That what's the gate was for, now were all stuck here.
On the center of the table there was a piece of paper, Snow got the paper
and said:
"Those who came far have all stopped here,
you are now trapped inside of this cave
to get out of this trap, you'll need to hear,
just follow my instructions and you'll be safe."

"One of the crystals on this table is the right one
but be aware, if you pick the wrong crystal
you'll better be prepared to run."
He stopped for a second and looked at the crystals, one of them
was shinny and tempting to pick, while the other was dusty,
it looked like a rock.
" If you paid attention to the beggining
then it won't be hard for you to be picking"

Snow: What does they mean by that? Paid attention to the beggining? Beggining of what?
Sam: What we'll do now? I can't believe i'll die on cave.
Aeryn: Nobody is gonna die on cave can ya'll just calm down?! We need to firgure this out.
Sam: So, the crystal is right here, in front of us?
Aeryn: Yea, pretty much.
Snow: Oh c'mon, it's clear to see, it's the left crystal that we should pick, the other one is just a rock looking thing.
Aeryn: Jon it woudn't it be too much obvious? We need to make the right choice.
Sam: Right choice? right choice.. right choice, from the beggining.. RIGHT CHOICE that's it!
It is the crystal on the right!
Snow: Why is that?
Sam: What was the first right choice that we've made on the beggining of this
quest?
Aeryn: We've choose the right path.. Oh godness.. Sam you are a genious!
Snow: OH YEA! I completly forgot it, so the rock is the right one?
Sam: It must be.
Aeryn: Ok i'll take it out, Snow, Asami, be prepared, if this one isn't the right one then it's the end for our quest.
Snow: NO, i'll do it, Aeryn get Asami as far away from this place as possible, you've two
already made so much on this quest, let me do it for you this time ok?
Aeryn: Snow.. I won't leave you behind.
Snow: It's ok, being left behind is the only thing i'm good for isn't it?
They've looked eachother the room was filled with tension.
Snow: Now go!
Once Aeryn and Asami were close to the entrace Snow was closed to the crystal on the
right, he took a deep breath and gote the crystal with he's mouth, he heard the gate
opening but there was a messaje under the crystal.
"Well done, now, you better run."
The cave started to crumble down, Aeryn and Asami were already out and Snow
was rushing trying to avoid the rocks that were falling, at the end he could
already see Aeryn and Asami but the gates was already closing down, he coudn't make it.
But Aeryn could, she got her sword and she put it between the ground and the gate
allowing Snow to escape but the sword got crushed..
Aeryn: Seems that you're also good at destroying swords haha..
They've all started laughing together and followin the way out of the forest.

Marilee, Eda Cassidy, and Fauna walked through the forest for what seems like hours more. They walked for so long in this journey they felt that that's all they really have been doing. Was all of this even going to help at the end? They were uncertain. However, they tried to keep a light heart and continued on their way.

They followed what they'd seen in the vision in the pool previous day. They wondered if the the visions they had seen were even accurate -- they hoped so. However, if the Visions the figure is shown in the pool were accurate for the crystal, would that make the Visions for the kingdom true? Would that mean that they're Kingdom truly was going to be under attack? They tried to keep their minds only on the crystal as they walked through the forest. They couldn't dwell on what the vision had shown for they were preoccupied with helping this kingdom, they could worry about theirs when they get back.

Eventually, things started to look like they were in the vision and they hearts started to feel a little bit lighter. Perhaps they were going to be able to do this after all. Suddenly, there was a giant tree in the middle of a clearing this tree was larger than any other tree that they ever seen before and in the trunk, was the crystal. They were elated. Perhaps the tree had grown so large because the crystal was in it or perhaps it was chosen to house the crystal because if it's large size.

Needless to say, the three queens took out the crystal fairly quickly and hurried on their way before anything else could happen.

It wasn’t far now.

Cinna had followed the path Althasia showed her, each twist and turn appearing vividly in her mind as she travelled. The water nymph had done her a great kindness in revealing the way, for not only had it saved her much time, but it had also renewed her spirit. Every time she recalled the figure swimming gracefully in the pool, she felt a pang of sadness in her heart. Their encounter had been brief, but Cinna had fallen completely and totally in love. Still, she had to move forward. The earth crystal wasn’t going to find itself, after all.

The canopy above her began to thin as she neared the edge of the forest. She felt a new energy flowing through her, picking up her pace in her eagerness to be free of the maze of trunks and ferns. And yet, she knew she wasn’t quite done. She couldn’t leave until the earth crystal was tucked away safely in her pack.

A sudden image in her mind told her to take a sharp turn at an especially thick tree. Soon the area before her mirrored what she saw in her head, and she proceeded to do as instructed. The path grew ever so slightly clearer, as though it were opening itself up to her. The vines that wound across the ground and tripped her up suddenly kept to the trees, out of her way. Even the trunks themselves formed a promenade of pillars that supported a green roof, and a mossy carpet rolled out underneath the arching branches. The walkway led her to a small clearing, an open meadow inside a ring of trees. In the center lay a stone pedestal very much like the one in the abandoned windmill, except it was half taken over by small, flowery vines. Displayed on the pedestal was the thing she was looking for: a small, pointed stone that glowed with the light of sun shining through leaves. The earth crystal.

Cinna gingerly picked up the relic and placed it carefully in her pack alongside the wind crystal. The two treasures clinked softly as she slung her bag over her shoulder and left the clearing, going back the way she had come. This time, she turned the other direction at the thick tree, and before long the edge of the forest was in sight. She breathed a sigh of relief as she passed the final tree, smiling a little as she looked up at the sky. It was still as gloomy as ever, but she was happy to see something other than green for once. Now that she was through the forest, she felt ready to take on anything.
