Personality:
Clarissa is a very shy Plumerian. She's the kind of gal who'll talk to plants, but not to others of her species. She goes out of her way to avoid conversation, and tends to “accidentally” miss calls.

Despite this, she feels terribly lonely. Her only close friend lives several states away, and that's the only Plumie she trusts to really talk to. Though, Clarissa is still young, and is still learning and growing. She has a hope deep in her heart that she'll find the strength to change, but it's much of a challenge for her to go day to day to begin with.

Yet, Clarissa wouldn't say that she's a sad Plumerian. She's very happy in general, actually. She tends to look on the bright side of things, and smiles and laughs easily. Those who she's been close to would likely describe her as an optimist.

Hobbies:

Sewing/Knitting – Clarissa has been sewing / knitting since she was very young and enjoys making all sorts of wearables such as sweaters, hats and socks. This hobby is her way of relieving some stress and passing through her free time. She learned how to sew from her mother, who used to all the time. Clarissa has many memories of her mother making various crafts for her daughter and friends.

Reading – Clarissa enjoys reading various works, and will explore nearly any genre if the subject catches her interest. She's very well-versed in literature and history, and speaks in a very proper manner – her interest in reading being a big part of this.

i. why i want ariane
i'm looking to extend my family of plumerians !! i really love the ones i have, and since the community has died down i haven't really had the chance to develop the ones i have. i've worked out most of the stuff for them, but i think adding another plumerian to my family would really expand my horizons and open up new character possibilities !

more importantly , i connect with this character on an emotional level. i relate so so so much to ariane , and through the time i have been perfecting this form i realized that i'm just basing her around some of my own , very personal experiences and personality traits. i honestly poured my entire heart and soul into this tryout, and i would feel extremely blessed if i was chosen to own this baby girl.



ii. ariane's personality

ari is a peculiar plumerian. she's loud, boisterous, and giggly with people she knows, but around strangers she is a completely different person. she is shy, conservative, and doesn't like sharing too much about her personal life. ariane plays the ukulele and is quite good at it ! all she wants in life is to have an amazing spouse and an amazing family. she actually wrote a small book, called ariane-rose's life philosophies. there is two pages for you to read a day, one when you wake up and one when you go to sleep. they're inspirational, such as (morning) make this day a productive one. or (night) think about what you did today, how it impacted the people around you, and what you can do better tomorrow. but, ari hardly lives by these quotes. she breaks the rules, thinks outside the box, and dares to be different. after all, history is made when you're acting a fool. poor judgement aides her curious tendencies, and she often gets in to trouble. ariane generally tries to see the good in everyone, though their intentions may not always be genuine. ari also has major trust issues due to situations in the past , and she finds it extremely difficult to trust outsiders or people she doesn't know on a personal level. even something as simple as a kind gesture can become a stressful event for ariane, and she sometimes needs to just calm down and take a breather. having someone she can trust with her at all times is probably best for her ; and though the conversation of service dogs has come up once or twice it was usually dismissed and thought of as just talk around the dinner table.



iii. relationships

leonie - mother - owned by me
when ariane-rose was first adopted into leonie and khanh's family, ari instantly knew she had a special bond with her whole new family. one plumerian in particular she had a lot in common with was her mom, leonie. they drew together, and would go to the comic book store and read as many as they wanted without spending a single penny. leonie makes ari art books since she is a graphic designer, and she occasionally works as a comic book artist. ariane tells leonie almost everything, and is her total lifeline. they couldn't live without each other.

khanh - mother - owned by aktori
though khanh and ari's outward personalities may differ drastically, they still have many hobbies and interests in common. they love to garden together, tomato plants being their favorite, and write. ari also tells khanh about everything, whether it's boys or girls, or just drama in general khanh will know about it. this shows that ariane has a deep trusting for khanh, and can rely on her to just calm her down whenever she's distressed. they like to talk about books, movies, tv shows, musicals, theater, basically whatever they're both interested in at the time. conversing over tea and cookies is what they like to do best.

kodiak - adopted brother - owned by chamomile
ariane and kodiak get along. but just like siblings, ups and downs are inevitable. at one moment they could be having a really fun time throwing the football in the backyard, the next ariane or kodiak will be storming in the house, saying something like: "i can't STAND him/her ! they're honestly so annoying." never the less, they do love each other and they both know that they have each-other's backs through thick and thin. secretly, they have a system called he IOU. aka, "i owe you" *. meaning, if one sibling covers for another, then they have to do the same in another instance, no matter the severity of the situation. and, there's no way for either of them to jip out and only take the blow for minimal things, because it goes in an indefinite pattern. if ariane does something one time, then kodiak has to suffer the punishment. then, the next time kodiak does something, ariane has to take the blame for it because kodiak owed ariane. after that ari then owes kodiak and the vicious cycle continues. through this system they have earned each others' complete trust. *this was inspired by a system me and my sisters used to have !

hikaru - girlfriend - owned by saka
ariane-rose and hikaru originally met at school. ever since they met, they have always had a ~thing~ for each other; but it wasn't until junior year that they actually realized. ari and hikaru spent most of their time together, getting ice cream or going to the plant shop. spending time together was the main reason a mutual crush developed , as hikaru spent most of her time sleeping over at ari's house and ari often went on road trips and vacations with hikaru and her family. but other than spending time together, ariane and hikaru had a deep emotional connection , and they both knew each other inside and out. they would talk about it all, the embarrassing, the funny, the sad, the happy, everything. there was one time hikaru was so upset, and ari held her and let her cry on her shoulder for 3 and 1/2 hours. even now, hikaru and ari spend almost every day together , gardening or watching movies or knitting together. they've still got a ways to go, but ari hopes that one day she can get on one knee.



iv. ari's history

ariane-rose spent most of her life in foster care. after her parents' passing, she lived in a temporary home until she was able to be adopted. she was switched around until, one day, her guardians had caught word of two women who had experience with adopting children before, and they were interested in coming to see ari. on the day of visitation, ariane had spent the whole morning trying to make herself look the best she could. she put on her best white lace dress and did her makeup (for once in her life) and hair. when the couple arrived, ari could see that they were not judgmental, and didn't care if the plumerian they were going to adopt was ugly or beautiful. the couple's name was leonie and khanh. they were very different, yet, they loved each other just the same. fascinatingly enough, the pair had adopted an orphan about a year back, and was looking forward to getting him a sibling. ari dropped her quirky-snorty-giggly attitude for the first portion of the meeting, but as she began to feel more comfortable with leonie and khanh it instantly returned. she was able to be herself around them, and that was the main reason she wanted to be adopted into their family so bad. she thought about it day and night, and wished to hear the phone ring with the good news every day. it took several months, but soon enough it was time.




ariane was 16 at the time of her adoption, but still felt as giddy as a 7 year old on the morning she was scheduled to be driven to leonie and khanh's home. she pulled up and hugged her foster parents before excitedly rushing to the door. this was her home now. ariane-rose stopped at the door and studied the apartment. it was a good-sized apartment, and it was located towards the sleepier side of the city. it was fitting, especially for the small family leonie and khanh had. ari smiled to herself and timidly knocked on the door. she was so excited to meet her brother, and get to know her new mothers. a few seconds after she knocked on the door she heard a yell. "its unlocked sweetie !" and she opened the door to a black room with a small cake sitting on the table in front of her. there were many candles and on the cake it said, welcome home, ari !!!!! she looked around, confused. she fumbled around for the light switch, and once she turned it on she was very surprised !!

there was confetti everywhere ! three plumerians wearing silly hats burst out from behind the table where the cake sat, and there was a banner above them on the wall saying "welcome home ari !!!!!" they all had kazoos hanging out of their mouths and blew on them loudly as they threw their hands in the air. everyone embraced her in a warm hug and ari hugged them back. as they were hugging, ariane's face met with her new brother's. "hi, i'm kodiak." he whispered. ariane smiled. "and i'm ariane-rose."



v. ariane's hobbies/interests

knitting -
during her time in the orphanage and foster homes , ari wasn't particularly spoiled with clothing and electronics. so, she decided she was going to make her own necessities. she would go to the store and get bundles and bundles of yarn , and craft her own sweaters , socks, mittens , and scarves. even now , she knits small gifts and gives them to her friends and family , as well as sell them on sites like etsy and ebay to get some cash.

drawing -
drawing helps ariane-rose convey her emotions far better than words. she draws with leonie, her friends at school, hikaru, and even her brother. (sometimes !) ari likes to draw plants, and cute plant-like creatures she makes up in her head.
her moms surprised her with art and sketch books for her birthday, and she always finds time to draw every day. ari hopes to get in to art school, and become a comic book artist when she graduates.

gardening -
i believe we've made it clear that ari likes to garden. she goes to parks, greenhouses, and the very aesthetically-pleasing plant shop just to see the small succulents. planting helps ari release some of her stress , and makes her feel very calm and serene.
she likes to hand plants in baskets in her room , suspended from the ceiling and balcony by hooks and fishing line. smelling the plants and feeling their calm nature always gives ari a sense of peace that nothing else can .



vi. ari's style (human/anthro)
ari wouldn't rather dress up or down , but keep things very casual. the style out outfit she wears usually depends on the mood and occasion it is , but ariane settles for something as simple as this (left outfit) for going out casual , and this for going out formal . she wears this for just staying in , and this for when she hops into bed for a good night sleep.
