ΉӨЩ DID ƬΉΣY GΣƬ ƬΉΣ ΛЯMӨЯ?
I was going through the muck of the swamp, the mud sucking at my paws, threatening to pull me into the goo. I trudged on eager to find the beast, hearing its claws clack now and then, its mouth hissing and frothing from smelling a hero. Me. I finally came upon it. It was so called the son of Carcinus, a giant crab, who had tried to help the Hydra in battle against Hercules, but ended up dying. As reward for its service, Hera, placed it among the stars as the constellation Cancer. My face distorted into disgust thinking of the story. Why reward a creature that defends a village destroyer, a man eater? I shook my head clear, thinking of the battle ahead. I'll end this cowards bloodline here and now. I leapt in front of the half awake crab, which was more of a skip from being caked with mud. It rose out of the muck and snapped its claws in preparation. I took out my dagger, which I kept gripped between my teeth. We stood facing each other for only a minute, just to register who, or what, we were about to tango with. Then it began, with the crab slamming its pincer to my right, mud spraying over me. Despite my dislike for the creatures, I fought with honor. I trudged through the mud, slashing my dagger in one of its six legs. It screeched and swung again. For questions on how to defeat a creature this massive with a weapon this small, hold on...Thats the best part. I've heard tales, not so great of mine, of going for the belly of the beast, and this time, they weren't wrong. The crabs weak spot was its underside, which the plates of its armor connect, getting there was the majority of the battle. I stabbed and poked its ugly, spiky legs, hoping to maybe cut one off. During this wish to the gods, it 'punched' me aside. I flew back, slamming against a tree. I got up, spitting out a gob of blood on the ground for the mosquitos to enjoy. A wicked grin spread across my face. "Alright then you overgrown, crusty crustacean creation. Lets end this." I lunged for my fallen dagger as it hissed and struck again. Having done that it left its chest unguarded and I took my chance. I ducked under and found the precious spot. With a battle cry I plunged the dagger in, the thing screaming in rage. I flailed out of the way of its crushing weight and tangle of legs as is slowly came to its end, plopping in the mud on its side. I took a minute to regain my breath, wiping more blood that came from my bloody muzzle. I wrenched my dagger free, giving the dead body a few pats. "Good game." I breathed. I carved out the plates for my spoil of war and carried them back to show the village that there crops were not going to be ruined anymore. Out of the kindness of their hearts they forged armor from the shell of the crab for me, which I was deeply honored. It was said that the shell of the crab was stronger than gold, which made me think why I didn't get myself a set in the first place. From then on I wore the armor with new confidence, it shining against the ocean waters in competition for the suns rays. But from the whole experience, through the fight of the monster and with the warm feeling around friends, I found it all quite... CRAB-tivating(captivating).{604 words}

Anahita is a very adventurous viscetling, for good reason too. All around her are monsters which belong to, as you mortals say, "mythology". She's your friendly village defender, smiling at the sound of attack bells. Some might notice her size, but most notice her heart. She is very courageous and brave and even in the heat of battle maybe a little blood lustful, but at the end of the day she is a caring, sweet soul. She got into the role of fighting monsters, when she was just a hatchling. The tale she tells goes like this:
"I was born on an island, hatching from my egg 3 days early (which explains the size). The smell of a newborn must have lured the devils, cuz not a minute long, a Wolpertinger appeared from the bushes at charging speed. I dodged and interlocked the beast. After a short fight I killed it with my bare paws. I ate it raw and then began to take initiative of finding food and shelter, none looking like it would appear on a hostile island. So I SWAM! Forty miles across the sea fighting a baby kraken on the way, to where I sit now, where I've slain more creatures now taller than Zeus."
Now..that MAY be a stretch of the truth, but she does tell great tales.
Besides fighting creatures "taller than Zeus", she loves exploring, which most of the time does involve fighting monsters, but she mostly does it for the nature. She loves building maps and the feeling of that it isn't just her out there, theres more! More lands to settle and seas to sail(also more monsters to kill). The most she feels connected to it all is at sea. Her name, Anahita, is a beautiful and underused Persian name, meaning 'water or river goddess'. Locals gave her the name from, well, by her story, they saw her come from the sea shores. The were surprised to see such a small viscet crawl from the tides, and swore she was daughter of Poseidon. She doesn't think of herself as a 'god', just a Viscet with good interests for the commoners and families around her, which gives her the quality of being humble.
