The first event adopt!!
I wanted to post it at midnight but I have to get up early tomorrow so it's happening now. It's technically past midnight CS time, anyways.
Second Chance Shelter wrote:Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?
For this babes comp tell me their favorite thing to do when it's way too hot outside.

Maybe patterned like some sort of Coy fish, or light-on-water?
Activity:
Since he lives with a Japanese family, or rather half Japanese family, his favorite thing to do is to go find the coldest stones in their little Zen-like garden in the middle of their house...and drop himself down there to take a nap. He also likes it because there's a small coy pond in there too, that he can hear the water-trickling of from where he lays.
(I love him)

Ariel loves the water, she had ever since she was little which is why she was named Ariel after the little mermaid. When its hot outside she would usually like to take a dip in a man made waterfall in the backyard about medium height. She likes to swim with the fish and enjoys it when the fish try to eat her toes (Of course if the fish are real big she does not).
Now when its actually way to hot to go outside she likes to hide in the plants that hang from the ceiling that her people put up. The plants provide coolness and at the same time she feels like shes in the wild and sometimes will swat at people who walk past. Its quite fun when she spooks em.

Activity:Aki's favorite thing to do when it gets just a bit too hot to bear is to simply retreat inside. She's not much of an outdoor cat when the weather gets uncomfortable, and there are no nearby lakes or manmade ponds that she can lounge around in (and her owner doesn't want to bother maintaining a pond) so she goes inside and sticks her small body over any cool apparatus she can find- cooling vents, ice coolers, shady hardwood floors, you name it. There was one memorable time she got herself stuck in a refrigerator, but considering how hot it was that day she wasn't left in there for very long. One of the dogs in the house got her out-- honestly, they've always been to smart for their own good.
Alternatively, she can be found lounging in a pool of water in one of her house's bathtubs or sinks. Her owner's lenient enough to make the bathtubs into mini pools to splash around in, but the only drawback is that the water's drained as soon as she gets out.
Aki's not sure why-- it's a perfectly good indoor pool.
The water barely fazes her, but it's a pain at times when water dampens her collar and makes it stick to her fur. Good thing that little problem is fixed by getting some air over it. Even more
coolage. The irony of it all is that she's arguably the cleanest in the summertime.
Shame there are no pet fish in the house to compliment those hot summer days-- but, admittedly, they would have already been snacked on at this point by her. Her former owner, no matter how crappy, could attest to that.
Mm, cold fish...
But, by far best thing about getting a bit too hot under the collar is the ice pops that accompany a sweltering day. The cool ice and cat food or blood in the ice is like a
godsend on her tongue. And the food in it is definitely a perk too. Enjoying it with someone as level-headed as
Fusil is pretty nice too-- he knows how to share both a nice ice pop and a few lazy day words. Unlike
some cats she knows.
