---Name: Khalíl
Khalíl, pronounced kh-uh-l-ee-l,
is an Arabic name that means
friend. I believe this name not
only goes well with his
appearance, but suits the
character I have in mind.

Rank:-----------------------------------------------------
Life:
Many would call the elemental gift of life a blessing, it
helps others and saves lives to say the least. Yet, I find
this ability to be bittersweet. True, using my ability to
heal is the best feeling I could ever have, but it doesn’t
help me in a fight. I sometimes try and create abilities
that could be used for attacks and defense, though nothing
have worked thus far. I’m not saying I don’t like my ability,
I love it. Something about mending wounds gives me such
a peaceful feeling. I just feel limited with it, almost…
helpless. Still, I continue experimenting with my element
in hopes to strengthen my skills and make me more
prepared for what is to come. In all honesty, I am happy
with my element. I couldn't imagine myself possessing
another element, and in that I found peace. I've found
that just because my element is more limited in
defensive or offensive fight styles, doesn't mean that
I am. I've found that my physical fighting abilities can
balance my element, and be the piece I'm missing.
Healer:
My rank options, while limited, have been thought over
carefully. Nomad would allow me the most freedom, yet
I think I would find it lonely and I would have no true
purpose. Pride member would work as well, they had
two sub ranks for me to choose from. Yet, upon
spending time with the pride member’s, I found that I
felt out of place. I have decided I would be best suited
for a healer. I chose this rank because it is where I
would be most useful and feel most welcomed. I would
be able to work with my mother and brother, which is
something I love. I have no resentment towards my
choice, in fact I’m excited to work for the pride as a
healer. As I thought about my future rank my
excitement for it grows, I have become dedicated to
being the best healer I can be.

►Heal:
Khalíl is able to heal physical wounds, from bruises
to broken bones, with a mere touch. The large
the wound the more energy it requires for him to
heal it, but he grows stronger with this ability the
more he uses it.
►Cure:
Poison is something Khalíl has found to be more difficult
to work with, yet he is slowly figuring his way around
this ability. Poison can be tricky depending on the source.
A plants poison would be easy to cure, but curing
someone poisoned by another loc he has yet to
successfully do.

►Sooth:
One of Khalíl’s first abilities was soothing another lion’s
pain. He often visits the healers to sooth a lion’s wound
and provide them relief while healers work on mending the
wound itself. It is something he can do almost effortlessly
at this point, and requires very little energy to do.

"Having or showing creativity or inventiveness."
Khalíl thinks outside the box, relying on creative thinking for problem solving and projects of his own. He can often be seen lost in thought about some fictional idea or fantasy. The subjects of these ideas are known almost only by him, as he doesn't often speak of his ideas to others.
"Slow to reveal emotion or opinions."
He is slow to get close to others, and tends stay by himself most of the time. He likes the company of others, but only a chosen few. Most think he is shy, though he just prefers to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself most of the time. Very few manage to get much from him, but those who can are close friends and family.
"Devote (time, effort, or oneself) to a particular task or purpose."
While often soft spoken, he is dedicated to no end. Give him a project or challenge him to improve something and he will work with it until he cannot improve any more, or until a new challenge is presented. Most of the time, he can only focus on one thing. Which causes some to view him as obsessive, but he simply desires to do his best.
"Showing consideration for the needs of other people."
Khalíl has shown himself to be extremely considerate of those he cares about, often putting their feelings above his own. He seems to almost always know when his friends are upset, hurt, or just need someone to listen. He is a rather selfless lion, often appearing to put his needs last as he makes sure others are cared for and appreciated.
"Quick to notice things."
When he is not lost in thought, Khalíl observes nature and others. He sees beauty in life and makes sure to notice as many details as possible. To him, life is not something to be taken lightly. He can often read emotions based on body language and facial expressions.
"Ready to conform to the authority or will of others."
He is submissive to those in authority, willing to follow orders and help when needed. Yet, he has trouble speaking his mind to someone of higher rank than him. He does as he is told, no matter how he feels about his orders.

Romulus || Warrior-fighter || Father
Khalíl, without a doubt, admires his father. He views his willingness to protect those he cares about as a strength, and is happy to have inherited that trait. He isn’t particularly as close to his father as he is with his mother, yet he treasures the time he spends with him. It isn’t uncommon for Khalíl to ask his father to show him fighting styles, and he adores spending the time he has with his father to train. It is something they have in common, the willingness to fight for one’s family and fight for what they believe in.

Celestine || Healer || Mother
While Khalíl connects with both his parents, he adores his mother. Khalíl has spent a lot of time with her, watching how she works as a healer. She is selfless, something Khalíl got from her. Celestine is gentle, which is something he admires about her. She loves her work, which she passed down to Khalíl. He has gained his mother’s love of healing, and it has helped their relationship thrive. Between his parents, Khalíl gets along more with his mother.. Though he loves both equally.

Vernson || Pride Member || Adoptive Brother
Khalíl looks up to Vernson, his older brother has been a role model in a way for him. He is protective, yet wouldn’t ever kill another. He is selfless, kind and loyal, something Khalíl aspires to be. Khalíl loves his brother, spending as much time with him as he can when he visits the healers.

Orlaith || Cub || Best friend
Orlaith is Khalíl’s best friend. He trusts her with anything and is more open to her than with most lions, despite the fact that she is almost the exact opposite of him. She is loud, opinionated, fierce, protective, loyal, and sweet. He adores her, and follows her around on their own little adventures. He spends more of his free time with her than anyone else, besides most of his family of course.

The Pride:
Khalíl is loyal to the pride, even if his
knowledge of the rebellion is lacking. He
believes in what the pride stands for and
would never abandon them.
The Rebellion:
He stands against the rebellion, yet holds
no hatred for anyone from there. He is
accepting to those who join the pride,
even if a bit hesitant to trust them.
Fighting vs healing:
This is a subject I have had a hard time with.
I believe life shouldn't be taken lightly, nor
should you fight without cause... Yet, I hate
the feeling of being helpless, and I desire to
protect those I care about. Though, with
consideration, I think I sit somewhere in the
middle. I will not pick fights with others or
kill without a reason, but I will fight for those
I care about.
