Basil is a gentle girl, but can be quite headstrong when the situation calls for it. Often, she would rather sit in the back and let others do all the talking, but if the topic changes to something she herself is invested in, there won't be a louder voice in the room. She cares very deeply for what she does, and most of the time what she's doing is helping out at a wildlife rehabilitation center with Hades and his family. Sometimes her strong emotions get the better of her, though, and she finds herself in situations she could have easily avoided had she kept her brain at the wheel instead of her heart. It's not uncommon to find her at the receiving end of a prank, as Hades's kids are not merciful to the gullible soul that Basil is. Sometimes this gets to be a bit much for her, though, and she will snap in an instant, going from a laid-back, loving soul to a grouchy old lady with attitude problems. Even so, she is far more likely to flee from confrontation rather than fight it, and she's been known to skip out on parties simply because she was intimidated by one of the guests. Her heart, however, is true, and she is a kalon others can depend on through thick and thin.

More often than not, you'll find Basil at the wildlife rehabilitation center run by Hades. Hades himself started the center as a home for specifically reptiles, but when he met Basil and let her lend a paw, they ended up rescuing far more that just the scaly friends he was used to. Basil will often sit with Praetor, Hades's son, and Revenant, Praetor's adopted sister, while they are playing video games and simply cradle some injured animal in her paws. With so many of her patients requiring around the clock care, even Basil's free time is spent taking care of miscellaneous creatures.
Recently, Basil has become increasingly attached to the fawn that was left in the rehabilitation center's care. The small chital deer was found in a much to small cage in a backyard of house in a nearby neighborhood. The fawn's previous owners had thought the small deer would make a good pet for their children, which was completely astounding to Basil. After all, how could someone think taking this little soul away from his family at such a young age would be okay? And who on earth would think that this wild animal would make a good pet, especially for children? Unfortunately, by the time the fawn was rescued, he had grown too domesticated to be released back into the wild, and so he was dropped at the center. While Basil claims she is trying to find a better home for him, she has already made up her mind that he is going to stay right where he is with her. He had already grown attached to Basil, and she is more than capable of giving him all the proper care he needs.
Basil lives in a small home, surrounded by books and animal trinkets. She recently cleared out a room for Satyr, the fawn, and she plans on bringing him home just as soon as she is able. Her home is surrounded by woodland, and a creek runs through the backyard. It's just as you would expect the home of the soft-spoken, kind-hearted animal lover to be.
