My personality?? I don't know what i'm supposed to say! *dolphin noises in bg* Oh stop laughing, Tide! Sorry, my dolphin thinks my
struggles are amusing...anyways, where were we? Ah yes, my personality. Well, I can say I am quite even tempered, I guess. I don't
get angry very easily, and am very patient. *dolphin noises in bg* Ok, well maybe not when you annoy me, Tide! Sorry again,
she's quite intrusive. But there are very few things that will...set me off per say. I think of myself as kind and caring, and pretty
docile, unless of course you hurt my friends, my family or my dolphins. But I love helping others, and I love working with marine
animals! I own my own sea life veterinary office/sanctuary in Australia, where I treat lots of animals, like dolphins, sea turtles, and
more! I love swimming, and i go scuba diving almost every weekend. I also love photographing things I see underwater, which I print
off and put in my scrapbook.
the ocean waves - story wrote:
When I was around...i don't know, i'd say 3 or 4, my mother took me to the beach one day during the summer. Of course, i'd been to
the beach before, but I was younger then and didn't remember it. So we get to the beach, and of course there were tons of
other families there, other kids screaming and laughing. So I was really shy back then, so of course, I decided to cower behind my
mother's legs, scared of everyone and everything. And I mean everything. I didn't want to go into the water because I was scared,
and whenever my mother tried to take me in with her, i screamed and wailed. It's hard to picture it now, if you know me, little baby
Marin crying because she was scared of the ocean. At some point during the day, my mother had somehow managed to take me into
the water. I'd guess the water went up to my knees, and for little baby me, that was quite frightening. So i'm standing there wailing,
when a huge wave comes crashing up onto the shore. To be honest, it probably wasn't that large but it was big enough to completely
cover me, sweeping me off my paws. And so, with my mouth full of saltwater, i fell onto my butt. I saw what looked like a shark fin
swimming towards us, so I start freaking out. But it get's closer, and I can see that it's not a shark, but a dolphin. It's swimming about
a few feet away from me, so i start walking over to it, until i get to a point where it's too deep and i can't feel the bottom anymore.
I started flailing around and splashing, and my mother didn't notice. So as i'm flailing there, basically drowning, this dolphin swims
up underneath of me, making me flop onto it's back, and it swims closer to the shallows, making sure to keep me above water.
When my mother see's me, she shrieks, and rushes to grab me off the dolphin, but i had my paws clasped around it, not letting go.
She frowned, then i attempted to explain to her what had happened, and she let me play with the dolphin. So, long story short,
that's how I became unafraid of the ocean! And fun fact, that dolphin was the first one that was brought to my sanctuary when it
first opened!
