name;; Kija
gender;; female
what is something they love to do?;; Since she has been a little Viscling, Kija has shown great interest in snakes. She has owned a great number of them in her life and works especially with venomous ones. She loves nothing more than to keep and care for her scaly friends, watching them hunt and eat, breed them and watch the babies being born. She furthermore extracts their venom and uses it for potions and other stuff, including poison.
extra 1 - Info;; Kija is a priest in a temple of the snake-goddess Wahjet. There is a story that tells, that she was chosen by a golden cobra, which crawled into her nest when she had been in her teenage years. Kija was bitten by the snake and urgently taken to some healers by her parents, but she showed no signs of poisoning whatsoever. The surprised healers then talked to an old priestess, who told them the story of how Wahjet would chose the ones to serve her. So Kija ended up in her temple and even though she basically was forced to, she loves saving the snake goddess with all her heart and would not wish for anything else to be her duty.
Thanks to the golden cobra, Kija also discovered her true love for venomous snakes. She has showed interest in snakes even before that, but only when she was bitten by the cobra, these beautiful creatures never left her mind again. Soon, she was known for being "the snake priestess" all over Egypt and the Roman Empire. What is so special about Kija, is not only the fact that she is breeding the snakes and using their venom, but also that she still seems to be immune to the venom herself.
After she extracts the venom from the snakes, she will use it to make potions or poison, which she partly sells and partly uses herself, especially the different potions. She says that some of them help her to speak with Wahjet, while others give her the ability to see the past or the future of a specific Viscet, if she adds some of their blood to the potion, before drinking it.
There is also one special potion, that she will put only three drops into a golden bowl, placed over a fire. The fumes of the burning potion give her the ability to summon, see and speak with spirits and other beings from the land of the dead. Kijas powers are truly not to be underrated, because she has not only the ability to poison you without anyone noticing, not even yourself, until it is too late, but if she doesn't want to make her hands dirty, she could just point at you with a finger and watch you being haunted by any Egyptian spirit that heard and followed her call. She has great prestige in the land of the living and the dead alike, is a close consultant of the pharaoh and thanks to her connections to different world, she can enter a path that brings her into a different timeline, meaning that she does not only live in Egypt long before our time, but in 21st century Egypt too; and she comes and leaves as she pleases.
