Overview

Perch has always been lonely. She
doesn't quite mind it, and she
repents, as she knows why. She's
always been a little weird, but
that's nothing anyone would want
to hang out with. It bothers her
how little of a second chance she
received from her friends and
peers. When she was younger, she
pushed people away. She was
snooty and prude, and people
decided they'd leave her. Playing
koi caused a lonely life, but she
had changed. She worked so hard
to learn right and wrong, but now
she was on the receiving end.
Karma is a cruel force in Perch's life.

Origins

As a child, Perch believed she
came from the sea foam, like
a true mermaid. Sadly, no one
knew who her biological
parents were, as she had been
in the foster care system since
age two. This hadn't discouraged
her adoptive parents, Rize
and Oxenfree, though they
admit they weren't as prepared
as they had been lead to believe.
This left Perch figuring right and
wrong out alone. Despite her lack
of helpful parenting in her early
years, Perch views her childhood
in a positive light!

In an attempt to redeem her negative connotation with her crowd, Perch joined her school's swim team. She was incredible, nearing the records in the 100 Meter Butterfly event. Sadly, it didn't redeem her reputation, only leaving her with a medal in 'Best Female Butterfly'. It did take her mind off her old attitude, though she quickly dropped the sport. It hadn't done what she had hoped; ignoring the fact it was helping her fit in.
