Name: Gabel
Gender: Male
Personality:
Gabel is a quiet soul, who likes to keep out of the way of others unless he is wanting to offer a gift; yet at times he can be more energetic than most would expect. He has great respect for all living things. As a hard-worker, he takes on more tasks than he can do, which tires him out a lot but still tries his best. He's also humourous, though he doesn't realise how bad his jokes are. Most of his spare time is spent lost in his own thoughts as he loves to daydream. He's trust-worthy and can keep secrets. Gabel is always ready to listen to someone's problems, but he's a little naive when it comes to life problems. He's too cowardly to do most things he dreams of; Gabel acts tough but as soon as danger gets close he will run for his life in the opposite direction. This makes him feel incredibly disappointed in himself, often putting himself down. But at the same time this is his greatest motivation, as he wants to better himself. He also struggles to stand up for himself. Gabel is unorganised and whenever he works, he leaves a mess behind him.

What is the armor for?:
Gabel is a squire and he is apprenticed by
Augustus. At first they treated him like dirt because of how much of a coward he was, seeing him as a waste of time if he could never be a knight; Augustus would purposely give him seemingly impossible tasks so that they could make fun of him with the other knights. But Gabel eventually opened up about how he felt. After realising how heartbroken Gabel was from everyone giving up on him, Augustus eased up on him. With the new, more relaxed relationship between them, Augustus soon became Gabel's only friend. Though his confidence never got better. No matter how much he trained, he couldn't get over his fears. He had no chance of being a knight.
When Gabel hit an all time low, Augustus was the one to listen to him. Gabel had lost all hope in his training. Augustus tried to beg the king to allow him to be a knight, but this was rejected. Then he was gifted a suit of knight's armour in secret. Eventually Gabel had to stop wearing this as he was imitating a knight. So Augustus paid a blacksmith to make a chest piece for Gabel. He wears it to help with his confidence, mostly because he feels like a real knight in his armour. Outside of the kingdom walls, Augustus lets him pretend to be a knight, as well as letting him take over their tasks.
As well as being an emotional support of sorts for Gabel, the armour serves as protection. The iron chest piece is nothing unusual; sword slashes can't harm it, most spears are ineffective and there's some defence against heavy blows. He doesn't have a full set of armour as Augustus is usually around to protect him. Augustus didn't want to spend more on it than they did when Gabel would still run from danger anyway.
