Name - Julia
Gender - Female
Occupation - Witch

Personality - It'd be a lot easier for everyone if Jewels was a nice as she looked. Truth be told, she's been through a lot, seen too much for her age, and because of this she's far more mature than most others of her age. She takes things very seriously and doesn't appreciate messing around, especially when the situation is dire. She's a crafty individual who knows how to get around, she can usually find a way to sneak through any given building. She has a strange way of thinking and seeing things, which gives her a knack for spotting strange spaces she could crawl through or rafters she could inch across. Julia isn't malicious by any means, she simply does her job to the best of her ability for the sake of her fellow coven members. She dearly loves all of the members of the covenant and therefor she's always trying her best.
She doesn't want anything to mess up her life, as it's happened too much already, and she just wants to be happy with her situation. During her day-to-day life she can often be found at the mall where she works part time at a little fashion shop-- however during the night she sneaks off to the chapel where her coven meets. Julie seems kind and innocent at a glance but if you push her patience she can be quite fierce. In layman's terms, she's a good friend but a terrifying enemy-- a loving girl if you're on her side, but a truly spiteful one if you're her enemy. She isn't one to forgive easily, and with her determined attitude it takes a lot to shake her judgement much less her vengeance.
She's often the one plotting, the silent type that causes one to worry, and she likes to sit and read in local cafes. She's a normal, everyday girl during the day-- for the most part. She needs reading glasses and enjoys scrolling through her daily feed, but again-- at night she's practicing magic with the help of her fellow witches. This band of ladies cast spells through various implements to try and better understand the magical ways of the world they live in. Julie's job is most specifically to obtain these implements, through whatever means necessary-- which usually entails thievery, or incredible bargaining to get the artifacts away from people and towards the coven-- where the witches actually know how to use them.
History - Julia was raised by two fairly normal parents who adopted her after she was left to an orphanage. Jewles doesn't remember much of the orphanage, she was there only a few short weeks before she was adopted-- after all, she was a cute baby and no one could understand why she was left behind in the first place. Her adoptive folks were kind and considerate, if a bit narrow-minded, and while they did have their flaws Julie did love them, deeply and truly. She went with them wherever they went as a small girl, and this continued into her early teens as well-- she really did care for them and she wanted to be with them whenever she could be. At school she was distant, she feared she'd be bullied if anyone figured out that she had been adopted and that her parents were not biologically her own. This changed when she entered middle school and became a bit more distant, meeting her first friend outside her parents-- a girl named Valentine. She quickly took to Valentine, as well as Val's other friend Lori, and the three of them became fast friends.
It was shortly after this that Jewels became integrated into the coven. Lori was already a member and proposed it to her two friends, saying it was an entertaining way to pass the time-- and of course, that it wasn't at all dangerous. Val seemed unsure, but Julia was enthralled by the idea. She had always been a bit skeptical of the unknown and the unproven-- what if they could prove, then and forever, that magic was a farce? She said she'd go along with Lori to the gathering, and so the three went. It wasn't nearly as bizarre and cult-esque as she was expecting-- in fact, despite the fact that the cemetary surrounded the chapel they met in, it was very well-kept and well decorated, almost homey in a way. Her first experience was not unpleasant either, the witches were glad to see others had come. Of course, with their magic implements the witches did cast their magic and Julia beheld this with wonder.
She wanted to cast spells as well-- and so she began regularly attending the meetings to borrow spellbooks and other such texts from the other witches. They were kind and accepting, almost proud of her fascination and drive to learn. To Julie it felt like there was an entire world she'd never known, and just now she was discovering it-- in the pages of the books she read, this fantastical world laid itself out before her-- the kind people read in fairy tales, not text books.
As she learned, Lori and Val did as well, the three of them became somewhat inseperable, all working during the day at the same mall and escaping at night to practice magic in the chapel at night. Despite the wonderful way things were working out, news got leaked one day that Julia was adopted by her folks, which caused people to turn hostile on her. Luckily her two best friends had already known, but everyone else didn't appreciate it being hidden away from them, and so they were bitter. Unfortunately for them, Julia had recently become far more capable than anyone could imagine.
In her magic practices she had learned a great many things-- and with this newfound knowledge she pursued the knowledge-- she wanted to find whoeer had leaked the information to punish them for their transgressions. She asked around the school, intimidating the students into ratting out their friends until she finally found a majority vote. She went to this individual and she cursed them-- making them unable to lie or spread secrets without consequence-- their body would suffer incredible pain if they were to disclose private or false information ever again.
Lori and Val were none the wiser but this began Julia's ascencion within the coven to being a fairly respected member. She loved the covenant members like her own family, because they had ultimately given her the power to be able to protect herself from the harsh world around her.
Relationships -
Valentine - Her first friend and another victim of bullying-- Val is a kind soul, and her sweet and accepting aura drew Jules to her. Val had been damaged in the past and needed someone to confide in, while Julia was seeking companionship and acceptance-- which Val gave her in full. The two really hit it off when they started a friendly chat about where they each worked in the mall-- having met by chance over a lunch break. Valentine is the one person Julia would trust, quite literally, with her life-- she believes that Val has a lot of potential, if only she'd realize it and stop doubting herself so much-- so Jules is usually trying to reassure her. They like having idle chats about normal girl things-- but talks with Val usually get strange and philosophical, which Jules doesn't mind either.
Lori - The best friend of her first pal-- Valentine. Lori works at a clothing store right next to Jewels' store. The two get along fairly well and they enjoy chatting about fashion and cute animals. Lori is also the one who introduced Julia to the coven-- and she's a member of it herself. Jewels can never tell what's going on with Lori and she does get a bit annoyed by Lori's smug attitude, but she believes that the other girl is a clever and devious opponent when she wants to be-- however most of the time she doesn't take things seriously, much to Julia's dismay. The two have a friendly relationship with a couple snags, as Lori doesn't get why Julie doesn't want to relax and joke around due to her more serious disposition.
Soul - The current heir to the covenant-- Soul is rising in power every day and is a figure held in high regards by all the covenant. Julia really does admire Soul, not only for her drive, but also for her magical ability, intellect, and beauty-- really, to Julia it seems like Soul has everything anyone could ever want. Soul is a proud woman who is completely able to defend herself, and Julia aims to be just like her one day-- an untouchable beauty who needs no one but herself.
