Username: SergeantWinter
Name: Lafite
Gender: Male
What's his most expensive possession?: A boat. A full size boat that fits at least 10 people and has little cabin area underneath the deck. Granted it's not the most expensive boat, but it is Lafite's boat. It even says so on the side of the boat. Which is more than any common dog could say. Now sure enough, a boat isn't something a dog can really use alone, but you see Lafite's owners can't be getting dog fur all over their party yacht. And yes, poodle's don't shed a lot, but that is information they lack. Lafite has never spent a lot of time with them, if any at all. The people who take care of Lafite, are just hired staff. So he won't admit it but the mutt's company is something he enjoys, even if the poodle is annoyed 99.99% of the time when they are together. It's just better than being alone. When he isn't getting in trouble via the mutt, he generally spends his time on the boat. The room under the deck was modified into a dog room per-say, as it has all Lafite's needs in it and not to mention the mountains of gold threaded pillows, jewel crested bowls, and all you can eat dried beef-liver treats. It is what you could call his bedroom. Funny thing is that Lafite hates the water, he is hydrophobic and doesn't know how to swim. And yet his most expensive and favorite possession is his boat, ironic. The owner's didn't even know their dog enough to know he doesn't like water when they bought the boat, they still don't even know that. To put it simply, the hired staff know Lafite better then Lafite's owners know Lafite, and the hired staff don't even know Lafite all the well. They are too busy having to do their employers silly chores, such as having to take the boat out for a ride every other day or so to keep the motor in good shape. But boy does Lafite love it. Lafite is privileged, but there are some things in life his owners don't allow him to do, such as rolling down the windows in the car so he can stick his head out the window. They had taught him that it was disgusting and disrespectful to do such a thing. But on the boat, he can stand at the tip of the bow and feel the wind rushing through his fur, the smell of salt, water spraying up like a mist. It makes him feel empowered and invincible, like he can do anything. Which he can do when he sets his mind to something, he just hasn't figured it out for himself. Essentially all of Lafite's worries are on the land and when the boat is cursing through the water, he can let it all go and actually relax. It's his escape from reality, where he can just be him and not some rich brat. In ways it helps the poodle open up and embrace his emotions that he buries deep down.
