kalon name: Nami
favorite type of weather: Cloudless skies with mild winds.
what do they do in that weather?: Nami grunted in satisfaction as she set down her paintbrush to admire her work. This time it was a huge pentagon-shaped kite covered with paintings of pink, red, and golden flowers, their pristine petals overlapping each other. She grabbed some red ribbon and swiftly tied it to the thin rope limply trailing from the kite, creating 4 bows.
Excellent! Clamping her jaws around the kite, she was careful not to rip it as she excitedly ran outside. The blowing wind teased at her hair, with the cloudless blue expanse stretching out above her. It was perfect weather to fly her kites.
Nami's hobby, as strange as it might be, were making her own abstract kites from scratch and then flying them. Years and years of making kites earned her a name in her town and kids would excitedly crowd around her house, wanting to buy her kites. Shortly, Nami then started a kite business, and her schedule got busy. But whenever there were no clouds in the sky and when the wind was just right, she couldn't resist taking a break to go out to fly her newest creations.
Nami stood with her back to the wind, expertly holding up the kite by its birdle. When the next gust of wind arrived, with anticipation she released the kite, and it was taken away with the wind. Nami, with the rope now in her mouth, broke into a jog, feeling refreshed as the breeze rushed over her fur. Stopping after a bit, she turned around. With the tails of the red bows billowing around the pentagon kite, and the bold colors contrasting against the blue sky, it was a sight for sore eyes. A dot of color in the empty sky. With a content sigh, Nami sat back on the soft grass and flew her kite until the winds died down and the sun set. Lowering her kite, she headed back to her workshop with windswept fur and bright eyes.
"Maybe I should make a dragon-shaped kite next.."
