Personality: Cool and collected, there is not much that phases Aoba. He knows what to do in tough situations and exactly how he should react - this is how he so easily climbed the ranks to lead in his paranormal investigations team. Not only is he unafraid, but he is incredibly organized! His flaws include not thinking of his other teammates, however, which has landed him in stickier situations than he needed to be in. It's something he denied for a very long time, but has now accepted that it was a flaw and begun working on it.

Romantic:
- Mercantile
Meeting in the field of investigation, Mercy and Aoba's paths crossed during an investigation for a creature believed to be both supernatural and cryptid. After splitting into groups and spending time getting to know the reluctant cryptozoologist, the two soon gave eachother nicknames (Mercy and Abby) and declared that they were partners in crime. Mercy is still the only Kalon who can get Aoba's goofy side to come out. Even though they both believe the others science is false, they love eachother dearly and Aoba has plans to propose on their next trip together.
Platonic:
- Melville. Melville is Aoba's second in command, and the information organizer of the time. The two have been best friends ever since they were wee tiny kits, singing along excitedly to Ghostbusters and dressing up as if everyday was Halloween. The two decided that for their profession they would go together, and Mel has been a constant support and encouragement for Aoba.
- Vanessa (Modern Day AU). Vanessa is another member of Aoba's team, and although not the happiest member does prove very useful. She's the one who is more than happy to charge into a fight, and so far has been able to fight most - if not all - paranormal critters. Aoba has been encouraging her to be nicer to the rest of the team, but although Vanessa does love them she would never show it.
- Toffee.. The final member of the team, Toffee, would be the comic relief if they were in a real horror movie. Goofy and happy, he reminds Aoba that it never has to be all serious outside of dangerous missions, and reminds his leader to smile and take time for himself. He does most of the work with calmer ghosts, chatting with them and usually just politely getting them to stop haunting whatever they're haunting. This makes him an important part of the team.
