heterochromia, in her left eye the colors of the moon and in her right the colors of twilight. Both her eyes have scattered colors of the other. (closer picture of the eyes, because I know the image is small)
Extra story/writing:
Not many knew why one day, she closed her eyes and never seemed to open them again
When she no longer bothered tying her hair back, and withdrew, others began to worry.
It wasn't them- it was her.
The buzzing of electricity, usually a soft murmur, kept her awake throughout the night.
The warped reflection of herself in a screen that was too bright made her already tired soul wince. She had grown up with this technology of daily life, she like everyone else had been taught the language of computers, but suddenly it was all too much for her. Not only hiding her eyes but closing them became an easy way to deflect some of the distraction and discomforts. She redirected her attention to the soft roar of conversation around her that was telling her where to walk instead of ignoring it as she tip-tapped on the keyboard.
Not many knew why she made that peculiar decision. But she did. And now you know too.

extra story/writing:
My dear Maryam, do you know why your mother always cries these days? Do you know why she lives with a grieving heart?
Her sobs reminds you of midnight. They remind you of the pale moonlight dancing their way around the glassy rocks; making their way across the silky water. Her sobs fills your mind with many, many questions. Questions that could never be answered. Perhaps it was the way you looked at her with those eyes of yours... Perhaps it was guilt.
Love is a very dangerous thing, my love; but it isn't your love that harms her. She loves you very much, you know that right? Maybe a little too much. When she first felt your tiny presence inside of her, she was overcome with pure joy. You were hers, and no one else's.
She spent her days at tarot readings and fortune tellers just to learn more about you. Real fortune tellers couldn't tell you a lot, but all of them knew one thing for sure. You had satin white eyes just like your mother. That was what she loved the most about you. Those glossy eyes of yours that held the color of innocence and purity. Your pearly eyes that was nothing like your father's dark eyes. Your father, who your mother had not seen for months. Your father, who everyone in the village thought was a werewolf due to his strange habit of only going out at night. He was the "big bad wolf". He was the wolf who ate your mother's heart. He created chaos within her. Your mother's heart was a city of ruin. All life was whisked away by the sinister jaws of emptiness. Your mother's heart was nothing but a barren wasteland of ashen destruction... Until you came. You were the tower that stood in the middle of all this. Gleaming with life. She would do anything to protect you, dear Maryam, anything.
The big bad wolf came back. He demanded for the child. Reasonably, the only thing that could pervade the heartless wolf's heart was a child. His child. Perhaps the big bad wolf wasn't bad at all. He wanted nothing more than to care for the child that was his. But your mother saw otherwise. In her eyes, the big bad wolf was still a wolf. A merciless killer. And so she ran. She ran past the giant oak where she had met him, past the cottage she grew up in, and past the small creek where he was waiting for her.
and what happened next - Oh god Maryam, I'm so sorry.
For all one knows, he, was not the big bad wolf after all. But perhaps she.
The moon hung high on the canvas of starless black. All was quiet except for the cricket's senseless calls into the summer night. Even the creek went silent; the water was still. The light crept past the willows and past your mother's blood stained hands. The moonlight goddess reached out a gentle arm and touched your moon lit eyes. You were once innocent. We all were once innocent. It's a shame you never got to prove your own innocence.
Your mother instantly knew something went wrong that night. It wasn't him, or anything at all, that worried her; but it was you. It was a relief you were still alive. But those white eyes had transformed into something more sinister... Something only big bad wolves possessed.
She raised you with the utmost love. You were finally hers, and hers only. But the guilt would never leave. She had cursed you with a mark that would never leave. A curse that would haunt her forever of her wrongdoings.
Like I said, love is a dangerous thing. And yet, only time can tell what the future holds you to.
